OUR Thoughts on Natura Pandanus Villa
Natura Pandanus Villa has a really pleasant location on the beachfront in Titikaveka on Rarotonga’s south coast.  To the east and to the west of Pandanus Villa, the coast road (The Ara Tapu) runs quite close to the beach, but, just before it reaches the location of Pandanus Villa, the road moves inland by approximately 100 metres, which obviously isn’t very far, but it is far enough to take out virtually all road noise from the property.  Natura Pandanus Villa is situated down a lane towards the beach and the house is set back a few metres from the beach over a tropical lawn and garden which gives privacy from anyone walking along the beach.

This is a place made for total relaxation.  The villa itself faces the lagoon and features lagoon views through the palm trees over the lawn and garden.  A veranda runs the full length of the front of the villa and outside the veranda, a pergola along the entire frontage adds a pleasing dimension to the internal living spaces. Sliding glass doors give seamless access between the veranda and the villa’s open plan kitchen/dining/living area.  The bedrooms are located off the living area.

Natura Pandanus Villa has a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size fridge/freezer and a laundry with washing machine etc. 

The villa isn’t air-conditioned, but you’ll find there is ample cooling from lagoon breezes and the trees shading the property.

It’s probably wise to consider having some sort of rental vehicle at your disposal while staying at this property, although it’s by no means compulsory.  There is a small village convenience store (Kano Store which opens on weekdays) at the end of the drive and there are a couple of resort restaurants well within 1km.  Saltwater Café is only 1.5km along the coast and famous Charlies’ Café and Bar is also 1.5km along the coast in the opposite direction. Depending on the makeup of your party, you may consider hiring motor scooters or a small car for the duration of your stay as this gives you the convenience of having anytime access to Wigmore’s Supermarket (3.4km to the west) and Muri Village and the Muri Night Market plus the many other Muri attractions, only 3.7km to the east.  Naturally, the circle island buses stop on demand at the end of the drive. Our Travel Specialists will happily quote on the various rental vehicle options available.

Take time to unwind in the tropical quiet of Pandanus Villa.  Read a book on the veranda or under the pergola, relax in a beach chair out on the lawn under the palm trees or wander along the perfect beach and snorkel in the lagoon. 

The tariff includes a service with linen change and gardening every 3 days, free local telephone calls and the use of snorkelling equipment.

Natura Beach Bungalow has a minimum 3 (consecutive) night stay policy.

General note re a holiday home stay on Rarotonga
.
Individual holiday homes offer widely differing standards and specifications as to what is included and the services which are available to guests taking this accommodation option. As a general rule, a holiday home is a private citizen’s private residence or holiday place, and, unlike a stay at a resort, a manager or owner may not be available on-site. However, the owner (or an agent of the owner) may be available to sort out any problems or maintenance issues encountered (and visits by neighbours’ dogs and chickens!!) In the case of this property, the owner has placed it under the management of the Natura Holiday Home Management Group. The benefit to you of this arrangement is that not only does a home cleaning and linen change service happen regularly every 3 days, but round-the-clock maintenance support is on hand to assist with malfunctions etc.

As is the case when staying anywhere in the Pacific Islands, it is sensible to maintain a reasonable level of security and to keep up a personal insect repellent program irrespective of where you are staying.  

Getting to and from Natura Pandanus Villa
The Natura people have a very good system for arriving and departing guests.  Their contracted driver will be at the airport to meet arriving guests.  The driver will have access to the keys to the property and after providing the transfer to the property, will open up and give a short orientation of the villa, its features and facilities.  The driver will call again at the completion of your stay and transfer you back to the airport on departure. 

The circle island buses stop on demand.

Night Restaurant Bus:
Every day except Sunday and Public Holidays, a bus operates clockwise every hour between 6:00pm and 11:00pm.  This is a perfect way for guests at Natura Pandanus Villa to get to any restaurant (or the famous Muri Night Market).  The bus stops on demand at approximately 25 minutes past the hour.
