Thirteen garden bungalows set amongst hibiscus and Tipani flowers are complemented with twelve beachfront bungalows set alongside our secluded beach. All bungalows have full kitchen facilities, air-conditioning, flat screen TV and private patios.

Palm Grove features a secluded beach and a calm, protected lagoon.
Lounge chairs, canoes, snorkel equipment, and beach towels are complimentary.
With clear blue waters and abundant sea life, guests find our lagoon to be one of the island's best snorkel spots. Its calm, shallow water makes the lagoon perfect for both novice and advanced snorkelers. For the more adventuresome, try a scuba dive or deep-sea fishing trip!

Please be advised that there will be minor renovation work taking place on the property between the dates of 1-14 September 2012. The renovation will be limited to three of our Garden Studios (bungalows G3, G4, and G5). This will be interior construction only, performed during the day, and will be done with in-house guests' comfort in mind.
Our Thoughts on Palm Grove
It’s really quite difficult to give star ratings to Rarotonga accommodation properties; Rarotonga provides such an idyllic holiday environment and most of the smaller properties are locally owned and run in a lovely personal way. Palm Grove gives themselves a 3.5 star rating and that’s fair enough, but rating systems don’t usually take into account the superb location or the friendliness and warmth of the staff and Palm Grove Rarotonga has both of those in abundance. A 3.5 star rating in Rarotonga bears little resemblance to say, a suburban motel in a major city which might attract a similar rating.
The location is stunning. Palm Grove is about half way around the island from the main town, Avarua and about 15 minutes from the airport, but remember, the whole island is only 32 kms (22 miles) right around. The original units were built across the road from a perfect beach on a quiet stretch of the circle island road on the secluded south side of the island. Later, a total of 12 units were added over the road right on the beachfront only steps off the white-sand beach. The circle island road is still there but it is not busy out here and doesn’t detract at all from guests’ enjoyment of this beaut little village-style resort.
Guests are personally met at the airport by a Palm Grove staff member irrespective of flight arrival time and transferred to the property. Continental buffet breakfast is included in the tariff – cooked breakfast is available at a small surcharge. There is a local supermarket barely five minutes walk away and the bus to Avarua stops regularly right at the resort.
Your Accommodation Options
It’s really like a little village. The 25 stand-alone units which are all air-conditioned and have kitchens, provide a wide variety of accommodation types and outlooks. The seven Garden Studios are clustered around the swimming pool and are handy to the restaurant. The Two Bedroom Bungalow is located next to the Garden Studios and close to the pool. Off to one side, but also handily placed you find the 4 One Bedroom Superior bungalows; the Three Bedroom Bungalow completes the picture on the “land-side” of the property.
Straight cross the road and virtually right on the beachfront there are 8 Beachfront Studios and the 4 Matenga Beachfront units which are located directly to one side. Please note that the term “Studio” in Rarotonga denotes a single open-plan living/sleeping space.

Garden Studios
Patios face inward towards the swimming pool and the wide lawn. Garden studios have tiled floors, white painted walls, kitchens and high cathedral ceilings.

One Bedroom Superiors
Separate bedroom and lounge/kitchen areas. Private patios face north and away from the lagoon providing beautiful sunny views towards Rarotonga’s spectacularly lush interior. Tiled floors and white painted walls complete the picture.
Maximum occupancy: 3 Persons
Existing Bedding Configuration: 1 King or 2 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Rollaway Bed
Two Bedroom Bungalow
Two separate bedrooms plus a full-size kitchen and a dining/lounge area, one bathroom, separate toilet. Tiled floors, light painted walls, 2 private patios. Maximum occupancy: 5 Persons
Existing Bedding Configuration: 1 King & 1 Queen Bed or 2 Single Beds & 1 Queen Bed
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Rollaway Bed
Three Bedroom Bungalow
Three bedrooms plus a full-size kitchen and a dining/lounge area, one bathroom, separate toilet. Tiled floors, light painted walls, 2 private patios. Existing bedding is 1 Queen double in the main bedroom, a Queen double in the second bedroom and 2 Single beds in the third bedroom.
Maximum occupancy: 6 Persons
Existing Bedding Configuration: 2 Queens & 2 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Rollaway Bed
Matega Beachfront and Beachfront Studios
Both types have a similar (but not identical) studio layout. They differ mainly in their views of the beach and lagoon and the way they are decorated. The 4 Matega Beachfronts are probably a little closer to the lagoon, but the tropical foliage around them is more thickly planted which results in guests enjoying a lovely filtered view of the lagoon and the ocean beyond from their patio deck. Matega Beachfronts have wooden floors, modern white-painted walls and cathedral ceilings. Beachfront Studios are located right above the beach and guests enjoy unfiltered views of the beach, lagoon and ocean. These rooms have wooden floors and are decorated in a more Polynesian-style “woody” theme on the walls and the cathedral ceilings.

Getting to and from Palm Grove
We will provide a coach or private car arrival/departure transfer from/to Rarotonga International Airport to Palm Grove.
Kids Policy
Children aged 4 years and under stay free of charge (maximum 1 child) when sharing with parents.
Children aged 4 years and under are not permitted in Matenga Beachfront and Beachfront Studio.
Check-in/Check Out
The hotel will make every effort to ensure your rooms are available at your time of check-in; however, the Hotel standard times and rates are as follows:
Check In Time: 12.00pm
Check Out Time: 10.00am
 Day use rooms can be provided at 50% of the nightly contract rate between 6.00am - 12.00pm and 10.00am - 6.00pm.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing.
If cancellations are effected between 30 - 15 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to 25% of total stay will be levied.
If cancellations are effected between 14 - 8 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to 50% of total stay will be levied.
If cancellations are effected within 7 days of scheduled arrival including no shows, a cancellation fee equal to 100% of total stay will be levied.
