Our Thoughts on Pacific Resort Rarotonga
A very good 4 Star property which delivers an excellent holiday for just about every category of holidaymaker from families (children of all ages), couples, honeymooners, people wanting to be active, people wanting a totally relaxing holiday, wedding groups, the budget-conscious and those looking for a higher degree of accommodation and services – you can pretty-well name it and Pacific Resort Rarotonga fits the bill.
The location, towards the northern end of Muri Beach and the Muri Lagoon is stunning. Over the years, a whole raft of outside services have sprung up around Pacific Resort in the form of cafes, restaurants, other smaller resorts, food-markets, road-side stalls and so on and they have all added to the colour and the vibrancy of the enjoyable holiday environment around Pacific Resort Rarotonga.
Pacific Resort itself has added to the Muri experience in no small way by constantly introducing and adding more services of its own, such things as the “Moana Roa” glass-bottom lagoon cruiser, windsurfing lessons, sail boat & sailing lessons for all ages, kite boarding equipment, a therapeutic massage treatment room and a whole range of family activities and services including their wonderful Beach Hut Kids Club, their Kids Stay, Play & eat breakfast free program and their baby-sitting service too.
Your Accommodation Options
All accommodation is air-conditioned and contains at least a mini fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Complimentary daily island breakfasts are included in the tariff.
There is a wide range of accommodation types at Pacific Resort Rarotonga – there’s something to suit everyone. As you drive in to Pacific Resort off the main circle island road you will note their road-side shop which sells a range of snack food and as you pass by, the resort swimming pool is on your left. The accommodation units that form a crescent around the pool are some of the Garden Suites and Family Garden Rooms. As you arrive at Reception, the same category of units, (these front on to the wonderful central tropical garden), finish just behind the two-storey blocks ahead which house the majority of the superb Beachfront Suites.
On the other side of the central tropical garden there are 2 identical, two-storey blocks which each contain four Garden Studio Rooms and four 2 Bedroom Family Units. Between these blocks and the beach are four more single-storey Garden Suites, Sandals Restaurant, Barefoot Bar & Grill and 2 more single-storey Beachfront Suites.
On the northern boundary and separated from the other accommodation by a wide lawn dotted with coconut palms, is where the Pacific Resort’s fantastic Villas are located. There is a 2 Bedroom Beachfront Villa virtually on the beach, next back from the beach is a 3 bedroom Lagoon Villa and a 2 bedroom Lagoon Villa, so called because they offer lagoon views, then there are 2 blocks each containing two beautiful 2 bedroom Garden Villas.
Pacific Resort’s room, suite and villa categories are in the process of being changed to better reflect their standards, so the following accommodation descriptions will note these changes. Both categories will be in use until April 2012, when the older description will be withdrawn.
Please note the term “studio” denotes an open-plan living space. The room descriptions are provided in an ascending order of cost.

New designation: Standard Studio Rooms
Located either ground floor or first floor in garden-facing 2 storey blocks. With an area of 36 square metres, each has either a patio or balcony complete with outdoor seating. Living area includes lounge chairs and coffee table, mini fridge and tea/coffee facility.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Persons
Existing Bedding Configuration: 1 King or 2 Singles
Two Bedroom Garden Units
New designation: Standard Family Room (2 Bedroom)
Located either ground floor or first floor in garden-facing 2 storey blocks. Each has a an area of 46 square metres and contains 2 separate bedrooms, a separate living area (lounge furniture, coffee table, mini fridge plus tea/coffee facility) and 1 bathroom.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults & 2 Children

Garden Suites
New designation: Premium Garden Suite
Family Garden Rooms
New designation: Premium Family Room (Studio open plan)
Beautifully refurbished in modern, light colours while still encapsulating a tropical feel. These 44 square metres, single-storey beauties are open-plan, yet, when set-up as a Suite, the living and sleeping areas still feel separate because the bathroom walls jut a metre or so into the open area of the room creating a slight barrier between the two areas. There is a mini fridge and tea/coffee facility and a 32” flat screen TV and DVD player. In the lounge area there are 2 single lounge chairs and a two-seater couch. The bathroom is a good size and there is a garden patio.

Additional Bedding: 1 Single Rollaway bed
When set-up as a Premium Family Room, the 2 single lounge chairs are removed and 1 single bed and a day bed are added to the lounge area.

Beachfront Suites
New designation: Premium Beachfront Suite
With an area of 53 square metres, these open-plan rooms are available in a choice of ground floor with a patio and direct access to the beach, or the 1st floor with a private balcony. All rooms are absolute beachfront delivering magnificent views of Muri Lagoon and the three islets within the lagoon. All rooms are equipped with a TV, DVD and CD player, writing desk and chair. There are guest-operated laundry facilities exclusive to each block.

2 Bedroom Garden Villas
New designation: Premium Garden Villa (2 Bedroom)
Refurbished, spacious and comfortable, these 120 square metres, one level, stand-alone Villas set amongst the tropical gardens have two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom has a big ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a similar-size bathroom next to it but access to this bathroom can also be gained direct from the lounge room without passing through the bedroom. Each Villa is equipped with a 32” flat screen TV, DVD and CD player, a full kitchen and a separate lounge. Each Villa also has a private outdoor BBQ and dining area.

2 Bedroom Lagoon Villa

The moment you set foot in the 180 square metres stand-alone villa you are hit with the size and the space. The huge living area, with its high vaulted and almost circular ceiling opens out to a beautiful lawn and views towards the lagoon. The master bedroom with private ensuite bathroom is upstairs and the personal sitting area of the bedroom opens in the form of a mezzanine over the living area. The bed and the bathroom are privately located at the back of the mezzanine space. The second bedroom and second bathroom are located off the living area downstairs. The Villa is equipped with a 32” flat screen TV, DVD and CD player, private laundry facilities, a full kitchen and a separate lounge. There is a private outdoor BBQ area with sun-loungers and outdoor seating beside the lawn. Enjoy easy access to Muri Beach.

3 Bedroom Lagoon Villa

At 195 square metres, this villa is similar in every respect to the 2 bedroom villa but with the addition of another bedroom downstairs. Both downstairs bedrooms share one bathroom.

2 Bedroom Beachfront Villa
New designation: Beachfront Villa (2 bedroom)
180 square metres in area, this villa shares all the same features of the Lagoon View Villa (2 bedroom), but with the advantage that it is right on the Muri Beach-frontage and offers superb views of the lagoon, the beach and the island motus that shelter the lagoon.

Getting to and from Pacific Resort Rarotonga
We will provide a coach or private car arrival/departure transfer from/to Rarotonga International Airport to Pacific Resort Rarotonga.
Kids Policy
Kids of all ages are welcome at Pacific Resort Rarotonga. Sit back and soak up the sun at Pacific Resort Rarotonga while your children take part in fun activities at the Beach Hut Kids Club – a hands-on children’s activities programme on Muri Beach. Honorary Island Princesses and Junior Warriors will have the opportunity to take part in fun activities such as octopus hunting in the lagoon, kayak safaris, fishing, sand castle building, coconut husking, basket weaving and much more!
Kids Stay, Play and Eat Breakfast free
Kids Club is complimentary to children aged 6-12 years, children under 6 years are welcome to join in under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
The service operates 7 days a week from 9am-4pm.
Children under 12yrs stay free of charge when using existing bedding in the same room, suite or villa with adult/s subject to room maximum occupancies.
Babysitting services are offered at very reasonable prices.
Check-in/Check Out
The hotel will make every effort to ensure your rooms are available at your time of check-in; however, the Hotel standard times and rates are as follows:
Check In Time: 2.00pm
Check Out Time: 10.00am
Day use rooms can be provided at a special rate between 6.00am - 2.00pm and 10.00am - 6.00pm.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing.
If cancellations are effected between 30 and 15 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to one night’s accommodation will be levied.
If cancellations are effected between 14 and 8 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to two night’s accommodation will be levied.
If cancellations are effected within 7 days of scheduled arrival including no shows, a cancellation fee equal to 100% of total stay will be levied.
