Our Thoughts on Waikiki Resort Hotel
This Resort is exceptional value for its location which is only a short half-block from Kalakaua Avenue and Waikiki Beach. It is in a quiet area of Waikiki, far enough off Kalakaua Avenue to avoid most of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki’s main street. Although very handy to Kuhio Avenue, one of the Waikiki’s three main roads; it is well shielded from the urban sounds of busy Kuhio Avenue and the further away arterial road - Ala Wai Boulevard. Waikiki Resort Hotel fronts Koa Avenue and is bordered by Liliuokalani Avenue (directly opposite Pacific Beach Hotel) and Prince Edward Street behind. Wander out on to Liliuokalani Avenue and a few steps to the right you come to a McDonald’s Restaurant on the corner of Kalakaua Avenue which is a great spot for breakfast, mind you, immediately across Liliuokalani Avenue there is a café offering exceptionally cheap cooked breakfast too. Sit outside in either restaurant and enjoy the sounds and sights of the open-air gymnasium on the first floor above Kalakaua Avenue and watch the morning parade along this famous avenue. Immediately next door to McDonald’s on Kalakaua Avenue you will find Eggs ‘n Things – obviously a great spot for breakfast too, if the long queues to get in are anything to go by. We couldn’t be bothered waiting in this queue which was right out along the street every morning when we were last there! Waikiki Beach (known as Kuhio Beach at this location) is directly over the road.
When you stay at Waikiki Resort Hotel you don’t really need to go out for a good breakfast though as your hotel has a very good American Breakfast Buffet and lunch at reasonable prices in its Ilima Restaurant. It also has a very popular Korean BBQ restaurant “Seoul Jung” open for lunch and dinner and Midori Lounge which is a Japanese restaurant, sushi bar and karaoke open 4:00pm ‘til late.
We offer 2 tariff options; room and breakfast (for 2) and room-only. If you prefer to have your breakfast included in the tariff, we recommend the room and breakfast tariff, as it is really good value.
The hotel rates as a 3 Star property and it attracts guests from all over the World which makes it, like every other hotel/resort in Waikiki, a very cosmopolitan place to stay. All rooms were completely refurbished in 2008. There is a wide range of services offered such as fee Wi-Fi for guests in the lobby, an uncrowded swimming pool, daily maid service and a Day Spa on the mezzanine level. There are ice & vending machines on the second floor and a coin-operated guest laundry. There is a dry cleaning service Monday to Saturday. On-site parking (US$25.00) a day is another bonus if you are renting car for a day or two to explore the outer regions of Oahu.
However, what really makes Waikiki Resort Hotel a great option for a high-value holiday in Waikiki is its great location and decent price and don’t overlook the Corner Deluxe Rooms and the Mini Suites (which are equipped with a kitchenette) for more space and their light self-catering facility.
Resort Amenity Fee
For bookings made from 01 October 2015 for arrivals at the resort from 04 January 2016 onwards, a compulsory Daily Activity Fee of US$10 per room per night night (tax inclusive) has been introduced. The Amenity Fee may be paid to us and included in our package arrangements or, if preferred, paid direct to the resort by guests at check-in.

29-32 m2 in area, Standard Rooms are located on the lower floors of the hotel and have an outlook towards other buildings. Although there is usually no real view as such from Standard Rooms, there is a pleasant enough balcony to enjoy in the open air. City View Rooms are only a fraction more expensive and are located on mid to upper levels and offer guests views of city lights. Rooms have air-conditioning, radio/alarm, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, 32” flat-screen TV, mini fridge, an in-room safe and a coffee maker with coffee replenished daily. Bathroom with shower.

Located on the 2 front corners of the building on floors 3 to 18, Corner Deluxe Rooms are very good value for their size, location and outlook and feature a private balcony, air-conditioning, radio/alarm, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, 32” flat-screen TV, mini kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave oven, sink, dishware, crockery and cutlery for 2 (additional settings available). There is an in-room safe and a coffee maker with coffee replenished daily. Bathroom with shower and tub combo.

45 m2 in area, One Bedroom Mountain View Suites are handy to the lifts on floor 3 to 18 and some elevator noise can be heard from these rooms. Mini Suites feature a private bedroom, a parlour, 2 private balconies, wet bar, central air, desk with executive chair, high-speed Internet access, 32” HD LCD TVs in both rooms, alarm clock/radio, in-room safe, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and full tub and shower combo in the bathroom. A mini kitchenette is included which is equipped with mini fridge, microwave oven, sink and dishware, crockery and cutlery for 2 (additional settings available). The coffee maker is replenished daily.

Getting To and From Waikiki Resort Hotel
Easy! We will include airport shuttle transfers as appropriate/agreed in your package arrangements.
The Pink Line Trolley (Shopping and Ala Moana) stops right outside Waikiki Resort Hotel.
You can walk to most points of interest in Waikiki as the hotel is only a short half block from Kalakaua Avenue and the beach in one direction, 1 block from Kuhio Avenue with all its restaurants, stores and night life in the other direction and only 3 short blocks from Kapiolani Park where you find the Zoo, the Aquarium and lovely shaded gardens.

Children aged 17 and under stay free when sharing a room with parents and utilising existing bedding. Kindly note, when parents are staying on a rate which includes breakfast, children sharing their room do not receive complimentary breakfast. We are happy to cost children’s breakfasts into package arrangements if required.

City View Rooms interconnect which makes 2 interconnecting City View Rooms ideal for families.
One Baby crib per room is provided free of charge.

Early Check-In
The only way to guarantee a room is immediately available if arrival is prior to official check-in time is to pre-book and pay for the room for the night previous to scheduled arrival.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing
No-shows will be treated as cancellations and charged accordingly.
For bookings held year round except the period 25 December to 03 January
Cancellations or amendments received at the hotel up to 8 business days prior to arrival – no charge
Cancellations received at the hotel within 8 business days of arrival will be charged a
cancellation fee equal to the cost of staying 1 night at the rate booked plus taxes.
For bookings held with any portion falling within the period 25 December to 03 January
Cancellations or amendments received at the hotel within 30 business days of arrival will be
charged a cancellation fee equal to the cost of staying 2 nights at the rate booked plus taxes.
