Our Thoughts on Tai Roto Bay Beach Villas, Airport Road, Aitutaki
Offering an exceptional location on a private beach and excellent value for money. Family owned and operated, Tai Roto Bay Beach Villas have been fully renovated over recent times and now present as a very good adults-only, mid-grade beachfront property on Aitutaki’s magnificent inner lagoon.

The owners of the property, live on-site and are always ready to assist their guests with wide-ranging Aitutaki knowledge and advice, tour reservations and room servicing Monday to Friday. The private beach is swimmable at all tides and there are plenty of shaded sun-loungers on the sand.  Snorkelling gear and kayaks are available on-site and this is a fantastic location from which to launch a kayak and explore the nearby highlights of Aitutaki’s magnificent lagoon.

Each villa is set up for self-catering with a well-equipped kitchenette which includes a good-sized undercounter fridge, a microwave and a small cook top and plenty of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery.
A very good tropical/continental breakfast is delivered to your villa each morning. Guests enjoy breakfast at the table in their villa, on their villa veranda or at one of the tables on the beach. An easy walk from Tai Roto Bay brings you to no less than 4 nearby cafés/restaurants including the well-known Koru Café and The Boat House Bar and Grill.  Koru Café is open for breakfast and lunch (usually 6 days a week) and also provides heat-and-eat takeaway dinner and BBQ packs. Taxi companies in Aitutaki offer pick up/drop off services for evening diners if you want to venture out.

The departure point for Aitutaki’s terrific Lagoon Cruises is just around the point, well within walking distance. Naturally you will want to explore the rest of the island and bicycles, scooters and/or car hire can be arranged.

Your Accommodation Options
The entire property comprises 7 contemporary/Polynesian-style villas ranged in a crescent from ultimate beachfront then curving back into a tropical garden. All units have been refurbished recently and all are spacious open plan with a well-equipped kitchenette.   The open-plan kitchens are equipped with a small electric cook-top, under-counter size fridge, microwave oven, tea and coffee making facilities and a good range of kitchen utensils. Each Villa has a small dining table and chairs and a sofa together with the King or Queen Bed.  The décor is pleasant with light-coloured flooring tiles, a vaulted ceiling and a range of restful woven bamboo wall and/or ceiling panels.  Each villa has a nice covered, furnished veranda/patio with a timber plank floor out front.  Villas are raised up a little off the ground to enable the breezes to flow beneath the living area.

Getting To and From Tai Roto Bay Beach Villas.
The owner/manager personally meets your inbound flight and provides a seat-in-vehicle transfer the short distance to the property.  Your departure transfer is also provided by the property.
