Our thoughts on Toberua Island Resort
Toberua really is an idyllic tropical island retreat. This is a wonderful place to relax and recharge - it's hard to imagine a better spot to unwind - no TV, only the sounds of the waves on the shore to calm and refresh you. With only 15 big beachfront bures on a picture-perfect tropical island it's ideal for couples or families. The food is great and it's probably best to take the meal plan option. Daily meal plan rates include American cooked breakfast, 3 course lunch, 4 course dinner or BBQ. A Buffet Night is held weekly and included in the meal plan.
Toberua is a perfect location for a wedding or honeymoon.
Although Toberua is located off the eastern (wetter) side of Viti Levu, it lies outside the rain belt. From Toberua you can often see the rain clouds over Suva while you are lazing on your patio under the palm trees and surrounded by sun.
The trip out to Toberua from either Suva City or Suva's Nasouri Airport is by vehicle to Nakelo Landing and then by boat down the river, with views of Fijian Villages as you pass, then a quick trip out through the lagoon. This trip alone starts the unwinding process and provides you with an interesting start and finish to your Toberua holiday.

Full Island Charter
Between 1st April and 30th June 2012 and again between 1st November 2012 and 31st March 2013 the whole island is available for private charter for up to 30 adults or a total of 45 people including children. There is a minimum 5 nights stay for a whole of island charter. That’s a great option for a wedding, corporate retreat or special occasion!
Your Bure Options
There are three bure options at Toberua; two Tropical Oceanfront Bures, 11 Deluxe Oceanfront Bures and two Premium Oceanfront Bures. The bures are huge, with very high ceilings in the traditional, "Chief's Bure" fashion. Ceiling fans are provided but there is no need for air-conditioning due to the high ceilings, the sixe of the bures, the natural flow-through ventilation and the really wide sliding doors out to a big shaded veranda which opens to the cooling sea only a few steps away. The bures are shaded by groves of beachside coconut palms. All bures feature a lovely inside/outside bathroom which provides absolute privacy while giving the option of having the daylight flooding in while you shower.
Room Categories
 Tropical Oceanfront Bure
Located closest to the Entertainment Bure and a little smaller then the Deluxe Bures, the Tropical Bures have tiled floors and smaller lounging space. Tropical Bures are still beachfront and are the cheapest accommodation option on Toberua. Although smaller than the other bures, the space is still bigger than many accommodation units elsewhere in Fiji.

Existing Bedding Configuration: 1 King + 2 Singles
Deluxe Oceanfront Bure
The original hand-crafted bures. Deluxe Bures have polished wooden floors and a veranda on two sides. These bures were originally somewhat dark and that was quite pleasant in the context of an authentic Fijian Bure, but with the opening up of one whole side and a portion of another side with sliding doors, and the addition of a nice big veranda, the Deluxe Bures now have a feeling of the best of both worlds - topical Fijian with a modern contemporary influence.

Additional Bedding: 1 Rollaway bed
Premium Oceanfront Bure
Similar in layout to the Deluxe Oceanfront Bures, Premium Bures have polished wooden floors, but in place of the hand-crafted bamboo walls of the Deluxe Bures, the walls are painted and this gives the Premium Bures a slightly more modern look and feel.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults & 3 Children
Existing Bedding Configuration: 1 King + 1 Single
Additional Bedding: 2 Rollaway beds
Getting to and from Toberua Island Resort
Vehicle transfer from Suva City or Nasouri Airport to Nakelo Landing, then boat transfer down the river and out to Toberua.
Kids Policy
Families are accepted year round at Toberua. Children aged 15 years and under stay free of charge & receive free transfers (maximum 3 children) when sharing the same bure as parents (please note the maximum is 2 children in Tropical Oceanfront Bures).
Children aged under 3 years eat free of charge.
Children aged 3-11 years inclusive dine for just under 50% of the adult meal plan.
Check-in/Check Out
The hotel will make every effort to ensure your rooms are available at your time of check-in; however, the Hotel standard times and rates are as follows:
Check In Time: 12.00pm
Check Out Time: 10.00am
Day use rooms can be provided at 50% of the contract rate between 10.00am - 6.00pm.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing.
If cancellations are effected within 20 days of scheduled arrival including no shows, a cancellation fee equal to 100% of total stay will be levied.
