OUR thoughts on Coconut Beach Resort, Tavewa Island, Yasawa Islands, Fiji
Located in the spectacular Blue Lagoon region of the Yasawa Islands, this stunning resort is renowned for its big 'Bula' smiles and warm Fijian hospitality. Coconut Beach Resort is nestled among coconut groves and set on a beautiful palm-fringed beach.
The updated bures have a distinct Fijian flavour using local timbers. Each offers a private beach or garden setting with a spacious veranda and has its own hammock and beachfront sun loungers, as well as a beautiful en suite with an open-air shower. Meals are based on the simple philosophy of using the best quality local ingredients to create a blend of traditional dishes and modern cuisine. Most days you’ll be able to find your own quiet secluded stretch of beach for that ultimate island escape. Note that this resort does not accept children under the age of 8.
Your Accommodation Options:
With only 11 guest bures that can accommodate up to 4 people, you can be sure of the best personal attention from our warm and friendly staff throughout your stay. All bures are spacious, stylishly appointed and traditionally crafted using locally sourced natural timbers. The bures feature beautiful open air bathrooms that are naturally ventilated to help guests re-connect with nature. All bathrooms have hot water showers and quality fittings in a lovely tropical garden setting. Fluffy bath towels and toiletries are provided and all bures are serviced daily. Local timbers and art work have been extensively used throughout the property. The bures are furnished with king size beds and finished with luxurious cotton linen. Each bure has louvred windows which can be opened to showcase the spectacular ocean views and let in the refreshing sea breezes. The bures are cooled by ultra-efficient ceiling fans and have a minibar fridge and in-room safe for your convenience. Each bure has its own private hammock directly outside, perfect for taking in the stunning views over the blue lagoon.

Beachfront Bungalow:
En suite, fan. Situated directly on the beachfront overlooking the Blue Lagoon and features an outdoor bathroom, private patio, hammock, in-room safe and mini-fridge.

Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated
Seaview Villa:
En suite, fan. Enjoy your private outdoor seating area and hammock with beautiful beach and sea views.

Beachfront Villa:
En suite, fan. Just metres from the shoreline these bures have beautiful outdoor bathrooms, a porch, a private hammock, an in-room safe and a mini-fridge.

Getting to and from Coconut Beach Resort
We are happy to organise any of the following:
Transfer from Nadi International Airport to Port Denarau Marina or Vuda Point Marina by coach or private vehicle to connect to your boat transfer.
Scheduled High-Speed Catamaran Ferry:
The transit is on the “Yasawa Flyer”, a modern, air-conditioned high-speed catamaran ferry with a café on board which operates a daily schedule between Port Denarau and Coconut Beach Resort. South Seas Cruise’s high-speed catamaran will transport you to Oarsman's Bay Lodge in 4.5 hours. The Yasawa Flyer departs Port Denarau (25 minutes from Nadi Airport) at 8.45am daily. Coconut Beach Resort arrives at 1.30pm. Enjoy air-conditioned spaces, the licensed bar and viewing decks as you journey across the clear lagoons of Fiji’s most beautiful islands. Upgrade to the Captain’s lounge, with air conditioning, snacks, beer, wine and soft drinks. Courtesy coach transfers from/to Nadi International Airport or selected hotels and resorts in Nadi, Wailoaloa and Denarau regions are available.
Helicopter:
Helicopter transfer can be arranged to and from Nadi International Airport as well as to/from other selected resorts. A private helicopter charter will transport you from Nadi Airport to Coconut Beach Resort in just 30 minutes. Your pilot will meet you at the helipad, just a short walk from the arrivals lounge at Nadi Airport. From there, you’ll enjoy a spectacular scenic flight to Coconut Beach Resort over coral reefs and volcanic ranges.
Kids’ Policy
Only guests aged 8 years and over are accepted at Coconut Beach Resort.
Check-in/Check Out
The hotel will make every effort to have your rooms available at your time of check-in but advise that standard check-in and check-out times are fairly strictly adhered to.
