Our Thoughts on Likuliku Lagoon Resort
Overwater Bungalows (Bures) in Fiji? Yes and only at Likuliku Lagoon Resort. As if that’s not enough to set this remarkable place apart from the other island resorts in Fiji, they also have a “no kids” policy all year round, making this a guaranteed holiday sanctuary for adult couples and singles. Likuliku is a perfect spot for honeymoons and it’s also ideal for relaxation, unwinding and stress busting for adult couples and singles of all ages – 17 years or over!
At Likuliku Lagoon Resort, all meals are included in the tariff and what meals they are. Ask anyone who has stayed here and they’ll first tell you about the wonderful meals, then how great the bures, resort facilities and the staff are. There are only 45 bures at Likuliku, so the staff soon get to know your names and you, theirs.
The Resort’s Fijian Restaurant is in a beautiful, high cathedral ceiling building with indoor and terraced outdoor dining options. All meals are served in the Fijiana Restaurant with the exception of one night a week, when a Fijian Feast and Fijian entertainment is provided out under the stars.
From the arrivals island jetty and the Masima Island and bar, to the winding horizon swimming pool, the Dua Tale Lounge Bar and the Isa Lei Guest Lounge, the private function room, the Wine Cellar, Boutique, Activities Bure, guest gymnasium and the Tatadra Spa, everything is top quality at Likuliku Lagoon Resort.
Then, just to top off a perfect day, while guests are at dinner, the staff will perform a turn-down service on your bure, replenish your bottled water then leave having turned the lights down low and started soft, romantic Fiji music on your bure’s music system. Your Bure Options
As you arrive by boat at Likuliku Lagoon Resort the first thing that catches the eye is the 10 Overwater Bures that line the edge of the light-coloured shallow lagoon where it drops away into deeper blue waters. The Overwater Bures are accessed by a boardwalk built up over the lagoon which joins the island at the left hand end of the beach. Ahead of you is the central complex and to each side of that there is a single row of stand-alone Beachfront Bures – 17 to the left and 18 to the right of the resort’s central complex. As each row of Bures leaves the central complex it bends slightly away from the beach and then gradually moves back closer to the beach towards the outer end.
The Bures closest to the central complex are known as Beachfront Bures, then as the row of Bures gets closer to the beach around half way out from the central complex, these Bures are designated Deluxe Beachfront Bures. Apart from the slightly closer proximity to the beach, the Deluxe Beachfront Bures are slightly bigger and also have a private plunge pool off each front deck. To the left of the central complex the first bure houses the gymnasium and the next three bures are designated Garden Beachfront Bures.
Every Bure, whether it be Overwater or Beachfront is air-conditioned and every one offers wonderful views of the sunset over Castaway Island to the left in the middle distance and many of the other Mamanuca Islands romantically dotted out towards the horizon.

Due to the nature of the experience being offered at Likuliku, there are no televisions in the Bures, however, there is an entertainment lounge in the Central Facility featuring a satellite TV.
Room Categories
 Garden Beachfront Bures and Beachfront Bures
Thatched roofs, polished wooden floors, high cathedral ceilings, an excellent balance between modern light and bright and traditional Fijian décor. All on one level, the bure interiors are 55 square metres in size. The bathrooms are huge and feature separate shower and toilet and 2 separate vanities, but the feature is the bi-folding doors that open up to a 15 square metre private, walled courtyard which contains an outdoor shower, Out the front there is large 19 square metre deck and joined, but off to the side of the deck a separate little thatched bure which houses a wonderful 6 square metre day bed.

Deluxe Beachfront Bures
Similar in most details to the Beachfront Bures, but with a little extra space. The living area is separated slightly from the sleeping area by being stepped down 2 steps. The internal area is 57 square metres and the deck is 22 square metres. The private courtyard off the bathroom is there of course and so is the daybed retreat. Opposite the daybed retreat on the bigger deck is a private plunge pool. Deluxe Beachfront Bures are equipped with a DVD player with flat screen monitor. Free Wi-Fi.

Overwater Bures
Similar in décor to Deluxe Beachfront bures but quite different in layout. As you enter the separate lobby, the Guest Bedroom is a separate room off to your right and the Bathing Pavilion complete with a bath, a separate room is off to your left. Ahead there is a covered portion of the deck with sun loungers. The interior dimensions are 60 square metres and there is a total of 31 square metres deck. The Guest Room has high cathedral ceilings and comes equipped with a DVD player and flat screen monitor. The view from the deck which is screened from the side for privacy is breathtakingly beautiful. There is a small lower deck which provides ladder access to the lagoon. Complimentary wireless internet access and a daily Chef’s Canapé Plate complete the picture.

Getting to and from Likuliku Lagoon Resort
Transfer from Nadi International Airport to Port Denarau Marina or Vuda Point Marina by coach or private vehicle to connect to your boat transfer.
South Sea Cruises high-speed catamaran from Port Denarau Marina. This service operates 4 times daily. An upgrade to the Captains Lounge (extra cost) provides selected beverages and snacks during the crossing whilst enjoying the comfort of air-conditioning. Approximately a 50 minute trip
Speedboat transfers which take approximately 40 minutes from Denarau Marina to Likuliku can be arranged and this a good alternative. However, the operation of speedboats is entirely dependent on the weather.
Amphibious float planes from Nadi International Airport or other island locations..
Island Hoppers helicopter transfer to and from Nadi International Airport & selected resorts.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing.
For travel 01 Apr 12 - 31 Oct 12 & 15 Dec 12 - 06 Jan 13 the following policy applies:
If cancellations or shortened stays, including no shows, are effected within 28 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to 100% of total accommodation will be levied.
For travel 01 Sep 12 - 14 Dec 12 & 07 Jan 13 - 31 Mar 13 the following policy applies:
If cancellations or shortened stays, including no shows, are effected within 28 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to 75% of total accommodation will be levied.
If cancellations or shortened stays, including no shows, are effected within 7 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to 100% of total accommodation will be levied.
