BEAURIVAGE HOTEL
7 Promenade Roger Laroque, Baie des Citrons,
Noumea, New Caledonia
OUR Thoughts on Hotel Beaurivage Noumea
There is no doubting that this terrific little hotel has a superb location. The Baie des Citrons is one bay closer to Noumea City than its famous neighbour, Baie d’Anse Vate and within easy walking distance of Anse Vate Beach and all the tourist attractions found there. The beachfront boulevard, Promenade Roger Laroque, which winds around all the bays starts at Baie des Citrons and Hotel Beaurivage is located right at the beginning – at number 7 in fact. Baie des Citrons is well known for its quieter pace and its beautiful crescent of sandy beach. Hotel Beaurivage is separated from the beach by the road and a narrow stretch of parkland, but is still very close to the beach and the bay and the Lagoon View Rooms have a very pleasant outlook over the beach and the ocean and most especially the sunsets.
Previous to the hotel being taken over by the Grand Hotels of New Caledonia Group which completely refurbished the hotel in 2013, we were not comfortable with the standard of accommodation and services on offer, but having inspected the property regularly since Grand Hotels took control, met the management and experienced the friendliness and positive attitude of the staff, we are more than happy with the standard of the rooms, the beaut little restaurant, the services on offer and, of course, the sensational location.
Hotel Beaurivage is rated 2 Star and that is probably lower than it would be rated if it offered a swimming pool and a few other facilities such as a gym etc. Being directly opposite the beach renders a pool rather superfluous and there are gyms in town for those needing that service while on holiday. Until 31 March 2019 he Hotel offers breakfast for 2 guests per room in the room tariff. The breakfast comprises a Continental Buffet with several hot options and is served in their pleasant little restaurant which also opens for light lunch (pasta bar and mixed salads) and themed dinners. Hotel Beaurivage is within easy walking distance of several cafés and restaurants as well as a supermarket and there is plenty of entertainment to be had further along the Baie des Citrons and over at Anse Vate.
Consider Hotel Beaurivage at Baie des Citrons if you are seeking a good value-for-money option on a very good beach while you enjoy a holiday break in Noumea.

Your Accommodation Options
Within its 60 rooms, Hotel Beaurivage Noumea offers 3 grades of accommodation. Standard Rooms, Lagoon View Rooms and Deluxe Lagoon View Rooms. The difference in price between each grade is not great (around NZ$20 per night between each grade) and reflects the position in the hotel rather than any difference in room standards/facilities The main hotel building is four-storeyed and has rooms either facing the bay or facing inland. There is also a two-storeyed “annex” which adjoins the main building.
All rooms were totally refurbished and updated in 2013 and offer the same layout and facilities. All accommodation units have heavily glazed balcony sliding doors to minimise any external noise from the Promenade Roger Laroque out front. In addition to air-conditioning, room facilities include: tiled floors, modern bathroom with shower and complimentary toiletries, under-counter fridge, tea/coffee facility, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, telephone, wardrobe and in-room safe.
