OUR Thoughts on Hotel Wadra Bay, Lifou
Set between lagoon and tropical coconut grove, all accommodations have been designed to combine comfort with respect for the exceptional natural environment. Facilities include an infinity pool overlooking the lagoon, a restaurant and bar highlighting local flavours and local products, a wellness area and a selection of excursions and activities to explore the destination’s natural and cultural treasures. Hotel Wadra Bay is positioned not just as a hotel, but as a true experiential escape where nature and elegance come together. The hotel features a beachfront swimming pool with comfortable sun loungers, an 80-seat bar nearby offers cocktails and poolside service, with the option to charge drinks to your room. A 110-seat restaurant offers a variety of atmospheres: during the day on the outdoor deck under the Tamanu tree when the weather is fine, a covered terrace with sea views, an indoor restaurant, and four lounge areas with comfortable sofas for dining morning, noon, and night, seven days a week. A menu featuring local specialties is offered daily.

Room Categories
Superior Rooms:
Located in two buildings with 12 and 10 rooms respectively, on the ground and first floors (5 twin rooms and 17 king rooms). Eight of these rooms can be connected to form four family rooms accommodating up to four people. Two cribs can be added to the family rooms, which can accommodate up to four adults and two babies. The family rooms have a surface area of 52m² or 104m² including the covered terrace.

Lagoon Bungalows:
Located at the heart of the property and nestled within the coconut grove. Surrounded by nature and the gentle sound of birdsong, Lagoon Bungalows offer a peaceful and relaxing setting. Each Lagoon Bungalow spans 66 sqm (including a covered terrace) and is thoughtfully appointed with a king-size bed topped with a mattress topper to ensure optimal comfort and restful sleep. Amenities include an indoor sofa, a round outdoor sofa, an indoor table with one chair and a stool, and an outdoor table with two chairs. Guests will also enjoy a vanity table, a separate walk-in dressing area, and two mirrors.

Forest Suites:
Located at the far end of the property and elevated three meters above ground, in the heart of towering columnar pines and shaded by centuries-old banyan trees. Immersed in nature and accompanied by birdsong, they offer a serene and secluded atmosphere. Each Forest Stilt Bungalow spans 72 sqm (including a covered terrace) and is furnished with a king-size bed with a mattress topper to ensure maximum comfort and restful sleep. Amenities include an indoor sofa, a round outdoor sofa, an indoor table with one chair and a stool, and an outdoor table with two chairs. The bungalow also features a vanity table, a dressing area, two mirrors, air conditioning, and a ceiling fan.

Ocean View Suite Jacuzzi:
Ocean Views Suites with Jacuzzis are located directly on the beach overlooking the ocean. Just steps from the bungalow, the terrace, equipped with a jacuzzi and offering views of the ocean and white sand beach, provides a relaxing experience in a unique and idyllic setting. A kayak and a paddleboard are available for guests' use. Each villa has an area of 108 m2 (including covered terrace)

Getting To and From Hotel Wadra Bay, Lifou
The flight from Noumea’s Tontouta Airport to Lifou takes 40 minutes and operates several times a day. Airport transfers in both Noumea and Lifou are normally organised in advance of arrival at Lifou and included in costs by Our Specialists for guests travelling on a holiday package.
