PARADISE COVE Yasawa Islands Fiji
Our Resort Report

OUR Thoughts on Paradise Cove Resort, Naukacuvu Island, Yasawa Islands, Fiji
Paradise Cove opened its doors on 1st July 2013 aspiring to a 5 Star standard which we think they have attained with the opening of their Day Spa, their well-equipped gym and the additional swimming pools in the adults-only “The Cove” sanctuary. In our experience, it is a major task to sustain a 5 Star product in a remote location, especially one spread over 2 different neighbouring islands. We are pleased to note that Paradise Cove is maintaining its high standards very well.

This place is full of delightful surprises; for example, guests in Beachfront Villa accommodation enjoy “personal” hammocks right out front of their Villas and guests in the Garden Villas and Bungalows are designated their own hammock space.  The daily complimentary escorted snorkelling and fishing activities are a welcome service and for those guests seeking a little more activity there is a very pleasant walking trail on the island. Another delightful surprise is the quality and range of breads, pastries and cakes baked fresh every day.

The food at Paradise Cove is a feature of any stay here.  Dinners especially, are a little bit like a degustation meal every night.

Being spread over two neighbouring islands 300 metres apart, would, at first glance, appear to make things a bit complicated for the management of the resort.  Not a bit of it!  Making the second island a child-free zone is a masterstroke.  The 4 self-contained 2 Bedroom/2 Bathroom Beach Houses on the second island provide a welcome addition to the Bungalows, Villas and The Paradise Suite on the main island.  Guests staying in the Beach Houses have the services of a “Bure Mama” to look after them and cook their breakfast each morning if guests require such a service.  Guests staying in the Beach Houses access the main resort at will, simply by picking up the phone and requesting a resort boat to come over and pick them up.  The three hundred metres between the 2 islands is navigated in around 2 minutes.  On the very odd occasion that stormy weather may make the crossing uncomfortable, meals are delivered direct to your Beach House.

Paradise Cove is located approximately one third of the way up the Yasawa chain of islands. The main way to access Paradise Cove is via the scheduled daily fast catamaran ferry service, and of course, a 20-minute scenic Seaplane or helicopter are also excellent options.

We believe Paradise Cove caters well to every every guest requirement.  Couples and honeymooners love this place, families are welcome year-round and the child-free zones, including the new "Cove Area" means that guests seeking a break from children will always find their requirements are met too.

Prices of accommodation and meals are good value for the high standard and superb location of Paradise Cove.

What Paradise Cove Say About Themselves
"We can’t wait to share this beautiful slice of Paradise with you.

The resort is quite laid back, and we find that most guests prefer the daily ‘beach attire’ of sarongs and swimwear for the women, and ‘t shirt and swimming trunks’ for the men. More often than not, you will find that you forget all together about your shoes, and go barefoot everywhere. But along with what to wear, we find the below are the things that are important to know about:

The resort has a swimming pool, and a beachside bar located in front of the restaurant. The beautiful white sand beach is all tide swimming. There are also plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas for guest use around the pool, and on the beach in front of the restaurant.

The Beachfront Villas have their own private sun loungers, and umbrellas located on the beach. There is also our PADI dive shop where you can arrange diving, game fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling equipment, and many of our exciting day trips and adventure activities. We also offer an "in your room" massage service and other spa treatments to pamper our guests. There are daytime and night time activities every day, so there is always something interesting to do, that is if you can make it out of your sun lounger.

The focus here at Paradise Cove is Food, Food, Food. The restaurant encompasses Pacific Island fare. We believe in utilizing all that the land has to offer, and do so by using local ingredients, bought directly from the local farmers, we then add mainland produce to present healthy, fresh meals served by our wonderful restaurant staff. Our talented team in the kitchen will showcase some of the best meals found in the islands. The resort grows much of its own fruits, with pawpaw, pineapple, bananas, mango, passionfruit, along with an extensive array of herbs and vegetables. The meal plans are separate to your accommodation costs, and are set as a 24-hour rate to include breakfast, lunch and dinner. We cater for vegetarians and can accommodate all types of food allergies and gluten intolerances.

The Resort has its very own PADI dive operation, not only can you experience some of the best virgin diving in the Yasawa Islands, but you can start and complete a PADI dive course (3 - 4 days) all before you head home! We have over 30 world class dive sites within a few minutes of the resort. Jodi our dive team leader and senior instructor has been diving with us in Fiji for over 7 years, she leads a team of highly skilled Dive Instructors & Dive Masters. The Dive Masters in our team consist of very experienced Fijian locals. Our Dive Instructors have completed literally thousands of dives all over Fiji, so whatever your level of experience, we have a dive expert on hand to ensure you have a truly awesome dive experience. We have a full range of equipment, wetsuits, fins, masks, B.C.Ds etc, all housed in our own dive shop. Bring your own gear, or use ours, and be guided through the Yasawa Island’s crystal clear tropical blue waters, or take the plunge for the first time and do a one-off resort dive and "Discover Scuba". The resort has been designed considering the natural beauty of the island, with “connected to nature” designs you would expect of a luxury tropical resort, Paradise Cove delivers an island experience to remember for years to come.

The swaying palm trees will guide you through the lush gardens, and invite you to relax in your sun lounger, or snooze in your luxury villa, listening to the sounds of the crystal-clear waters lapping the shore line. Come and visit us, and the real Fiji !”
