SEPTEMBER 2012

Kyla, Bula Vinaka.

As the Romans say we came, we saw, we conquered.

Back at work this morning after 9 days of a fantastic holiday, sometimes I wonder about the people who moan on Trip advisor and pity them as they are probably not ever happy about anything in their lives.

We had an awesome holiday, only one drizzly (but warm) day (Thursday), the rest of the time was hot sunny and very very relaxing.

The Sheraton was great we stayed in the white block next to the big pool in 983 & 984, rooms were ideal, we forgot to ask for a rollout bed on the first night, but wasn't a biggie, got it sorted when we came back on the Friday, staff were very helpful had it up in the room in 10 minutes and set up for us while we were swimming.

Mana was great, we weren't sure about all sleeping in 1 room but it worked out really well, we were in Bure 517 right at the end of the north beach and only 30m to the water, was a great set up they had mozzie repellent in the bure and housekeeping cleaned everyday. The kids were funny as it was a long walk back to the complex, but with all the great food (meal vouchers definitely the way to go) we needed the exercise. Staff were really friendly. We took our own snorkelling gear and used it every day (the selection on Mana looked impressive as well), some awesome places to snorkel and definitely one of the highlights for all of us.

The 5pm happy hour and Bingo is a must, as well as the 9pm activities.

When we got back to the Sheraton we were right next door to our first nights accommodation (now 981 & 982), while we couldn't get a late checkout til 3pm on our last day due to bookings, they did allow us to stay til 12pm and supply a day room to shower and change for later, which was ideal.

We did the Feast restaurant buffet twice (once when we arrived and when we came back, which they gave us a 50% discount both times) and the other night we went to Mamma's pizza at Port Denarau, which we recommend, given it is only $5 by taxi for all of us vs $7 each for the Bula bus, it worked out really well.

Thank you so much for organising our holiday, we all really enjoyed it and you were spot on with the accommodation and places to stay so a huge thank you.

Sue and I are already thinking about next year (for 2 this time), so if you have any suggestions on where, let us know.
