You will be aware of the saying “surprise and delight” and this exceptional property fits this description perfectly. If you haven’t previously ventured outside Port Vila town, you may well be surprised to find such a sophisticated property out on the north-western coast of Efate Island and we know you will be delighted with the facilities and the range of services on offer, not only in the spectacular harbour location, the marvellous accommodation, and the food and beverage arrangements, but also in the form of a fully operational onsite arts and pottery studio with 2 kilns and a local potter in residence, traditional weaving and fabric painting workshops.
Their unique host and cook, known as the “Director of Fabulous Times” lives onsite to ensure that menus are tailored to your personal needs and specifications.

“Food at Havannah Boat House is a pleasure and a joy, because there is no restaurant to work around. The on-site chef will talk to guests, before they arrive, about their dietary needs and requests, to tailor the experience to what they want. Picnics on the lawns, a grand candlelit dinner on the deck, a BBQ on the beach with fire pit blazing, a basket packed so you can explore Vanuatu – all of it is possible. Because you have the entire property to yourself, feel free to wear your pyjamas to breakfast.
A selection of quality red, rosé and white wines, sparkling wine, spirits, beers and soft drinks will be available with a daily special cocktail and mocktail at sunset. (An additional selected cellar wine list is available for purchase, at a discounted price)”
On the beach frontage you will enjoy the open-sided Beach Nakamal and romantic Fire Pit, a perfect place for relaxing and taking in the sunsets. For waterborne activities enjoy the use of snorkelling gear, the stand-up-paddle-boards and kayaks to explore the fringes of the magnificent Havannah Harbour, and who knows, it’s odds-on that you will see sea turtles, dolphins or dugongs swimming nearby.

Your Accommodation Options
This amazing property accommodates from 2 to 10 adult guests (children can be added) in 3 distinct accommodation types, all of which are spread along the Havannah Harbour waterfront. The main complex at the heart of the property, has the ambience of a large tropical home and includes the swimming pool, the integrated cook’s kitchen, lounge, and dining area as well as 3 separate bedroom “Pavilions”; This complex is known as “The Residence” and also houses the “Treehouse Loft”. The “Boathouse” is a block away from The Residence, but still very much a part of the whole property.
THE RESIDENCE
The Residence consists of a main living area, including a large cook’s kitchen, butler’s pantry, lounge and wrap around deck. This living area also houses a 12-place dining setting. A hallway leads to the Pool Suite bedroom pavilion. Next to the Pool Suite, the Treehouse Loft is located on the upper level. The 2 other bedroom pavilions are both free-standing units slightly off to one side and accessed by short paths off the integrated lounge/kitchen/dining.
The Pool Suite:
A lovely room with a high ceiling following the roof line. A very relaxing suite with wooden shutters, exposed beams, natural wood-plank flooring, and woven panels all contrasting nicely with light-coloured walls and ceiling. The doors on the front of the suite open (down 2 steps) to the pool deck where a private sun lounger and a 2-person table setting is found under a thatched partial veranda. The view out over the pool to the harbour is spectacular. The ensuite bathroom features a private garden courtyard with a 2-person sunken outdoor bath, shower and sun loungers.

The Tree House Loft:
The only upstairs room in The Residence complex. It’s perfect for children, but also suitable for 2 adults. The view is over the pool and through the tropical treetops towards Havannah Harbour. The Treehouse Loft occupants have the use of the ground floor bathroom which, during the day, also services the pool and main living areas of the house. This bathroom features a massive walk-in shower.

Independent Pavilions:
The 2 free-standing Independent Pavilions are similar in layout to the Pool Suite, but without the sunken bath in each bathroom courtyard. The Independent Pavilions are located close to the main living area but give separation and privacy amongst the lush tropical gardens. Each has a partially covered furnished veranda.

THE BOATHOUSE
Absolute waterfront facing Havannah Harbour and the islands of Lelepa and Moso. The accommodation is above the actual boat house and features a beautiful wide veranda from which guests catch the harbour views and many an incredible sunset. A jetty out-front gives direct access to the harbour.
This is how the property describes the Boathouse:
“Located a block away from the Residence, The Boathouse is an elevated, tropically designed house overlooking the pristine water of the Havannah Harbour. Once inside The Boathouse, you feel as though you are floating over the sea. The Boathouse is a very special space, designed on a slightly less grand scale than The Residence, it has one main bedroom and bathroom, with a large deck and an Art Studio, that can also be used for massage. It is an intimate space, yet has a very large kitchen/living area, open on 3 sides, with wrap around decks and gardens. It is perfect place for a honeymoon, a wedding or simply a chic, getaway where you want to sit and soak up the view. As with the Residence, the furniture has been sourced for colonial style comfort and the soothing palette of grey, off white, wood, weaving and shutters, leaves room for the views to be the hero of the space.”

Accommodation options for the whole property:
“All yours, not for sharing”. As previously stated, Havannah Boat House can be a great holiday venue for 2 to 10 guests. No matter whether your party comprises 2 or up to 10 guests, the complete property is exclusively for your enjoyment and the tariff is organised so that the cost is not prohibitive should there be only 2 adults in your party. Below is an explanation of how various guest numbers are accommodated.

Getting to and from Havannah Boat House
Arriving guests are personally met at the airport by a resort staff member and driven in an air-conditioned bus to the property where guests enjoy a welcome drink and a personalised guest orientation of the Havannah Boat House facilities.
Havannah Boat House is approximately 30-minutes by car from downtown Port Vila and 20-minutes from the airport.
Kids Policy
Children are welcome. The property managers always require children to be fully supervised. Please note, the swimming pool is not fenced.
Meals for Children
Children aged 4 to 11 years inclusive enjoy a 66% reduction in daily food and beverage plan rates
Children aged 12 to 16 years inclusive enjoy a 33% reduction in daily food and beverage plan rates.
The daily food and beverage plan rate for children aged 4 to 16 years includes soft drinks with meals
Little Kids Stay Free
Infants aged under 4 years stay and eat free when sharing accommodation with accompanying adults.
Nannies
Nanny service is available on a daily charge basis.
Check-in/Check Out
Official check-in and checkout times are:
Check-in: 2:00pm
Check-out: 11:00am
Early Check-in and Late Check-out
To guarantee immediate access to rooms when arriving prior to 2:00pm, accommodation should be booked and paid for the night prior to arrival.
To guarantee a late check-out accommodation should be reserved for an additional night.
Early check-in and late check-out will be granted free of charge when available at the time of arrival and/or departure.
Kindly note that Havannah Boat House does not have day rooms for guests to use while waiting to check in or check out.
Havannah Boat House Payment & Cancellation Policy
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required once
accommodation has been confirmed.
The balance of payment must be made at least
30 days prior to scheduled arrival of guest.
All cancellations must be made in writing
Cancellations made greater than 30 days prior to
scheduled arrival result in forfeiture of deposit
Cancellations made within 31 days of scheduled
arrival incur a 100% cancellation fee. However,
in certain circumstances, at the discretion of
management, the payment may be transferred
to another stay date, subject to availability and
within 12 months of the date of transfer.
Only 1 transfer is permitted. If the second stay is
cancelled, the payment is forfeited.
No Shows are treated as cancellations and
charged accordingly.
Amendments to reduce the length of stay will not
be accepted within 30 days of scheduled arrival
