OUR Thoughts on Breakas Beach Resort
Over the past Eighteen years, Breakas Beach Resort has been very active in developing unique accommodation solutions to sell to a happy traveler with destination Vanuatu in mind. The designers produced a fare (bungalow) that captured the romance of a "feet in the sand" holiday. Set in situ, amidst swaying palms and dotted pandanus trees, our 60 fares offer romance and escapism for the holiday-maker pursuing more than a hotel room experience. The resort was overwhelmed with the success of these up-market tribal bungalows, and they steadily gained design recognition for their celebration of Melanesian aesthetic and architectural features. Wholesaler support was the juggernaut that allowed the growth of the product and has nurtured the dream of creating something incredibly special amongst banyans and spotted pandanus on a white sand beach in Port Vila.

In order to assist the development of tourism in Vanuatu, there is a Tourism Levyof 200VATU per room per day and is payable direct upon check-out.

Your Accommodation Options
All accommodation is in stand-alone individual bungalows, known in Vanuatu as ‘Fares’. The Fares are built with concrete walls and cool ceramic tiled floors, the special feature is the high roof and ceiling clad in genuine local thatch. The windows don’t have glass in them, but are insect-screened and equipped inside the fale with wooden louver shutters which provides lovely flow-through ventilation. All of this makes air-conditioning unnecessary. To aid air movement every Fare has a lazy ceiling fan. Fares also have a mosquito net over the bed, Breakas signature chair, a balcony with private entrance, refrigerator, ironing facilities, tea/coffee making facilities, writing desk and hairdryer. There is no TV, no radio, no phones in the fares. Your Fare at Breakas is for relaxation and rejuvenation. TV, phones and Internet connections are available in the lobby and bar area.

 Tropical Garden View Fares
Scattered throughout the garden area between the Beach Front Fares and the entrance road, the Garden View Fares are accessed via winding paths through the tropical palms and flowering shrubs. Most fares are located in dappled shade. When the surf is up, the gentle sounds of the waves breaking on the reef will lull you to sleep.
Maximum Occupancy:  3 adults
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed and 1 single Day Bed
Additional Bedding:  No additional bedding accommodated.

 Beach Front Fares
Located right on the beach frontage but still shaded by the surrounding trees, the Beach Front Fales provide guests with superb views of the beach, the lagoon, the reef and the ocean.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 adults
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed which may be split into 2 Single Beds and 1 single Day Bed.
Additional Bedding:  No additional bedding accommodated.

Getting To and from Breakas Beach Resort
Our Specialists will include arrival and departure airport transfers in package arrangements as required/agreed.

Moving around Efate, especially between Breakas Beach Resort and Port Vila is easy with the local taxi-style minibus operators passing the Resort every few minutes. Taxis are plentiful and rental cars can be easily arranged.

Breakas Beach Resort is a 5-minute drive away from the Au Bon Marche supermarket and 5kms from downtown Port Vila.  Warwick Le Lagon Resort is quite handy as is the ferry wharf servicing Erakor Island Resort and restaurant.

Early Check-in Policy
In order to guarantee immediate occupancy of a room if arriving prior to official check-in time, the hotel requires payment for the night prior to arrival.
Late Check-Out Policy
Late check-out to 6:00pm, when available, are charged at an hourly rate.
