3 Day/Night Cruises One Way
Taha'a to Bora Bora and
Bora Bora to Taha'a
Our Resort Report

Our thoughts on Haumana Cruises
Put this one on your “Bucket-List” but be prepared, for the fact that having done it once you’ll want to do it again and again! The ocean-going small ship catamaran “Haumana” is perfect for this journey; small enough to get into the most beautiful parts of the expansive lagoons around Taha’a and Bora Bora and big enough at 36m long and 13.8m wide to make a comfortable ocean crossing between these 2 island groups.

The 3 day/3 night cruises operate April through October each way between Taha’a and Bora Bora and provide the wonderful option to include these 2 romantic island groups in your French Polynesian holiday as well as providing the opportunity of adding something very special to the normal all-flying itinerary.

"Haumana" cruises you through the natural wonders of the far-reaches of the Taha’a Lagoon providing ample time to enjoy the calm, fresh waters of this major lagoon as well as providing the opportunity (included in the fare) to visit Tahaa’s pearl farm, vanilla plantation etc. The overnight trip between Taha’a and Bora Bora sees you out in the ocean where there are no city lights and where the sight of the night sky overhead (on a clear night) is a mass of stars which will lure you out on deck well into the night to enjoy the spectacle.

The arrival or departure at Bora Bora is something you won’t forget, it’s one of the wonders of the South Pacific. At its centre is romantic Mt Otemanu which is surrounded by fabulous island motus and a deep, sheltered lagoon. On an arriving cruise the sight of the sunrise over Mt Otemanu is amazing and on a departing cruise the sight of the sun setting over the Bora Bora Lagoon is awe-inspiring. Apart from enjoying the breath-taking views and the excellent services and facilities on the ship, there are plenty of opportunities to swim, snorkel and kayak in the lagoons, partake in cultural activities and get ashore to enjoy something of the local culture.

The ship itself provides a wonderful platform for the enjoyment of guests.  The Upper Deck (apart from the Navigation Bridge) is completely comprised of the ship’s lounge and bar.  The lounge comprises an extremely comfortable enclosed sitting room as well as a covered but open-to-the-sides lounge area.  The Dining Room on the lower deck (Deck 1) provides incredible meals with guests sitting at multi-seat round tables which makes for great conversations and everywhere, those big porthole/windows which allow guests to always enjoy the outside scenery no matter whether dining, relaxing in the lounge over a cocktail or a good book or enjoying the comfort of their cabin or suite.

A Haumana cruise fare includes:
● A 3 nights cruise on board "Haumana"
      between Raiatea/Taha’a and Bora Bora
      and vice-versa

What Haumana Cruises Say About Themselves:
“The changing colours from the dark blue of the ocean to the turquoise shades of the lagoon when you approach the coastline are the promise of a haven hiding treasures and wonders.

Joining a cruise aboard the Haumana is having the opportunity to admire these beautiful waters being surrounded by those who know the islands of Tahiti: the Polynesians.

Proud of their culture and history, our crew members are committed to offering you their full attention, making this cruise a unique moment of sharing. With them, you will taste the sweet Polynesian way of life in an intimate and friendly atmosphere.

The chef will create for you refined menus based on fresh and local products. A wine selection will be served to suit perfectly the different “saveurs”.

The polynesian gastronomy is very rich and the famous “polynesian raw fish” is one of the most famous meal. The chef will make you taste all the local specialities and may share with you his favorited recipes… On board, fresh fruits coming from our islands will be daily served: pineapple, mango, pawpaw, the epicureans will enjoy an explosion of tropical tastes. Meals will be served in the restaurant in a polynesian atmosphere or on a motu. Upon request, romantic dinners will be organized on the sundeck for an intimate moment under the starry sky.

The Haumana welcomes onboard only 24 guests allowing the intimacy of small ships.

The facilities of the ship have been arranged to allow you high comfort during your cruise.

You will enjoy exciting experiences thanks to our kayak, paddle board or snorkelling equipment – or simply indulge yourself on the sundeck, reading a book chosen from the onboard library.

As soon as you will board the ship, you will be welcomed with colourful flower lei. You will be immediately charmed by the legendary polynesian hospitality as the crew will sing traditional songs and play ukulele to celebrate your arrival.

It is an incredible experience that awaits you around Bora Bora and Taha’a.
