OUR Thoughts on Samoa Beach Resort, Mulifanua, Upolu, Samoa
This highly-rated family resort is a great base for a Samoa holiday. Located just a 5-minute drive from Samoa’s Faleolo International Airport, a 45-minute drive into Apia and a 5-minute drive or 20-30-minute walk to Mulifanua Wharf where the ferries depart for Savaii Island.  

The 133 rooms and suites are in located in 6 two-level blocks (3 blocks on each side of the central hotel facility), so every room is handily located to the restaurants etc. Apart from fronting a beautiful beach, the Resort has a stunning, big, meandering, multi-level lagoon-style swimming pool which incorporates a kids’ shallow pool off to one side and a swim-up bar. Every room has a view out over the lagoon and ocean and catches both the sunrise and the sunset. There are sun-loungers literally everywhere. The two stretches of white-sand beach out front are liberally scattered with thatched beach sun shelters.  The seabed on this part of the island is not known for its marine life, but there is still pleasant snorkelling to be enjoyed.

The well-equipped gym and the beautiful spa are great features. The resort’s restaurants provide a good range of dining options. The closest alternative dining options are in Apia, a 45-minute drive away, so having such good restaurants on site provides guests with plenty of dining choices. The Apolima Fale Restaurant serves the splendid buffet breakfast as well as hosting the spectacular Cultural Nights for dinner and show each Tuesday and Friday. The a la carte South Pacific Restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner and provides the option of dining outdoors or in the courtyard bar area.  From the South Pacific Restaurant enjoy stunning views of the ocean and the island of Savaii off in the distance. Light lunches and dinners are also available at the Solent Cocktail Bar and quick bites are a feature of the casual Pool Bar between 10:00am and 6:00pm daily.

The Resort's water-sports operation is by contracting services to "Pure Ocean" an operation located within the resort grounds.  Pure Ocean offers a great range of sports facilities. Enjoy kayaks and paddle boats. Hobie Cats, Stand-up Paddle Boards, Snorkel and Diving Tours etc - all are available for guests at a reasonable hire charge.

The Resort is handy to the International Airport and the sounds of arriving and departing aircraft can be heard briefly from time to time. Somehow, the aircraft sounds seem to add to the sense of occasion and the ambience of a stay here.

Note re Manaia Polynesian Spa
Manaia Polynesian Spa is VERY popular and is often fully booked for specific treatments, especially the 60 and 90 minute Fa’a Samoa Traditional Massage and their famous Talofa Temptation Treatment.  We recommend you pre-book your Fa’a Samoa Massage and Talofa Treatment services prior to your arrival at The Resort and Our Specialists are able to organise this and include the cost in your package arrangements.

Note Re Le Penina Golf Course & Club House.
The Resort has advised that the Le Penina Golf Course and Clubhouse is closed and is undergoing a change of management and a restoration program.  Guests have the opportunity to play golf at Faleata Golf Course and Royal Samoa Country Club, both of which are located on the outskirts of Apia approximately 45 minutes from Samoa Beach Resort.  The resort activities desk has special rates for transfers to and from both the alternative golf courses.

Note Re Cashless Resort Policy:
The resort has a cashless policy whereby all charges from restaurants, bars, spa, gift shops and resort activities etc. can only be paid by credit card at the time of purchase or charged to guests’ room account and settled at check-out. 

At check-in guests are required to provide a method of payment for their incidental charges.  A credit card pre-authorisation (WST$100 per adult per night) is the preferred option.  However, if guests wish they may deposit a cash sum of WST$150 per adult per night in lieu of a credit card pre-authorisation.

Your Accommodation Options
Samoa Beach Resort offers 3 accommodation types.  By far the greatest number of rooms (127) are in the Deluxe Ocean View Room category while, for those interested in a little more luxury, there are 5 Executive One Bedroom Suites and 1 Deluxe One Bedroom Suite.  All accommodation is in 2 level (walk-up) blocks.  All rooms and suites are spacious and airy and presented in an inviting Samoan-style with understated appeal. Bedrooms feature wood-plank flooring and tiled bathrooms.  Every room and suite faces the ocean with wide ocean views from the patio or balcony. The rooms and suites on the ground floor open directly on to tropical lawns and gardens and are ideal for families and those who appreciate being able to walk straight out over the lawn to the beach around 50 metres away.

 Deluxe Ocean View King Rooms:
 Deluxe Ocean View Twin Rooms:
These are spacious (40m²), air-conditioned rooms. There are 8 sets of interconnecting rooms which are great for families. The ground floor room patios open directly on to a lovely lawn and the first-floor rooms have a balcony and a somewhat wider view. The first-floor rooms are all walk-up; there are no lifts.

Bathrooms have a combo bath/shower. 
Deluxe Ocean View King Rooms
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults and 1 Child aged under 13 years.
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed 
Additional Bedding: 1 Rollaway Bed (charged) and 1 baby cot may be added to a room configured with 1 King Bed.
Deluxe Ocean View Twin Rooms:
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children aged under 13 years (2 children share the second Queen Bed).
Existing Bedding: 2 Queen Beds.  
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding is accommodated in this room type. 

 Executive One Bedroom Suites:
Suites are a special addition to this property.  Executive One Bedroom Suites are 80m²  Each has a separate bedroom and lounge.  
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children aged under 13 years. 
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed.  
Additional Bedding: 2 Rollaway Beds may be added. A complimentary cot for a baby may also be added.

 Deluxe One Bedroom Suite:
Deluxe One Bedroom Suite is 116m². Each has a separate bedroom and lounge.  
The Deluxe One Bedroom Suite offers a kitchenette facility.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children aged under 13 years. 
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed.  
Additional Bedding: 2 Rollaway Beds may be added. A complimentary cot for a baby may also be added.

Getting to and from Samoa Beach Resort
We will include return airport transfers as required/agreed in holiday package arrangements for the short journeys between Faleolo International Airport and The Resort.
Samoa Beach Resort is handily located to Mulifanua Wharf – the departure and arrival point for ferry trips to and from Savaii.
Shuttle Service to and From Apia City for Resort Guests
A shuttle departs the resort at 9:30am for Apia and departs on the return trip to the resort from Apia City at 3:30pm.
This service is run by Samoa Scenic Tours who have a Tours Desk at the entrance to the resort.
Bookings are taken up to 8:30am on the day of departure and costs, payable direct to the tour company are SAT$20 each way for adults, SAT$10 each way for children aged 5 to 11 years and complimentary for children aged under 5 years.

Kids & Families
 Kids Stay Free.
When utilising existing bedding, up to 2 children aged 12 years and under stay free when sharing a room with up to 2 adults.
A maximum of 1 baby cot may be added to any King Room at no additional charge.

 Kids Meal Specials
 Free Breakfast
Up to 2 children aged 12 years or under per room are provided with free buffet breakfast daily at Apolima Fale Restaurant when accompanied by a paying adult.
 Kids Lunch and Dinner
Children between 4 and12 years old inclusive will receive a WST$25 children’s menu to order from.
Children ordering from the normal menu and children aged over 12 years pay full adult food prices.
 Little Kids Eat Free
Children aged 3 years old or under will be provided complimentary buffet meals at available restaurant when accompanying an adult who is having a full paying meal.

 Kids Play Free
 Kids Club
Children are welcome to join the Dolphins Kids Club day program which is available 9:00am to 5:00pm 7 days a week on a complimentary basis for the duration of the stay (with full access to a daily activity schedule). Please note that some special activities are only available at an additional charge. The Kids Club is available for children aged 4 to12 years inclusive.
Children 3 years and under or children requiring special needs are accepted at the Kids Club when accompanied by an adult.
Children's Pool
A children's pool is available.

Babysitting Service is available, at 24 hours notice, payable at the resort.
