OUR Thoughts on Saletoga Beach Bungalows & Hotel
We are delighted to be able to offer this nice little resort, which, in the past, was not quite up to the standard we require a resort to be for it to be included in our program.  Previously known as “Hideaway Samoa”, the resort has been acquired by the owners of the very successful 4-star rated Saletoga Sands Resort & Spa next door and renamed “Saletoga Beach Bungalows & Hotel”. After having been closed for some months while improvements were made to bring it up to a true 3-star standard, Saletoga Beach Bungalows & Hotel has progressively opened all the Standard Beach Bungalos, the Beach Bungalows and the refurbished Hotel Room block, all of which are operating now and proving very popular. The restaurant, bar, conference centre and beautiful ocean-front deck have all been renovated and are looking great. 

The central facility is a perfect fit for a perfect Samoa Holiday Experience, with its Colonial-style wide verandas – the ideal place to enjoy a well-priced meal and excellent cocktails. You will love the natural ocean-front swimming area in the lagoon and pool deck out front.

Guests at Saletoga Beach enjoy access to all the facilities at Saletoga Sands Resort & Spa. The two resorts complement each other beautifully and having them under the same ownership and management has enhanced the holiday experience for guests at both resorts.  Having a choice of 2 different restaurants is a very welcome additional service for guests of both resorts.

Your Accommodation Options
There are 2 main accommodation types at Saletoga Beach – Hotel Rooms and Beach Bungalows and all offer air-conditioned comfort.  Hotel Rooms are all recently renovated (mainly completed late July 2016 although there is some on-going finishing during August) and located in a two-level hotel block.  Hotel Rooms are on both the ground floor and the first floor of the hotel block and all have resort/garden views.  Some Hotel Rooms have a partial ocean view and getting one of these is simply the luck of the draw. The Beach Bungalows come in 2 categories.  The 4 “Standard Beach Bungalows” are partially renovated and comfortable, but are not quite up to the standard of the 5 newer “Beach Bungalows”. The Resort plans to add more “Beach Bungalows” in the future.

 Hotel Rooms:
The 14 Hotel Rooms are spacious
Ensuite bathroom with shower and furnished balcony or patio.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed which may be split into 2 King Singles, plus a King Single.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.

 Standard Beach Bungalows:
Located only steps from the beach, the Standard Beach Bungalows are all stand-alone buildings - 2 are single level and two are 2 level bungalows.  All Standard Beach Bungalows have spectacular ocean views. Due to their being only partially refurbished, they are offered at a slightly cheaper rate than the newer Beach Bungalows.
Ensuite bathroom with shower.
Maximum Occupancy: 5 guests (two-storey bungalows)
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed or 1 King Bed plus 2 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding: A Rollaway Bed or a Baby Cot may be added when 5 guests are staying.

 Beach Bungalows:
The 5 Beach Bungalows are pleasant stand-alone bungalows set back a little in the tropical gardens but still with beautiful water views.  Each has a modern Samoa feel with tiled floor and light-coloured walls which perfectly complement the curtained glass-louvre windows, colourful mats and soft-furnishings.

Maximum Occupancy: 3 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed.
Additional Bedding: A Rollaway Bed or a Baby Cot may be added.

 Deluxe Hotel Rooms:
The 2 Deluxe Hotel Rooms are a little bigger than the already spacious Hotel Rooms which are ideal for a family or a group of 4 friends sharing. There is one Deluxe Hotel Room on the ground floor and one on the first floor.  Both have more windows than the rooms in the “Hotel Room” category, hence they are a little lighter. Apart from these two features the Deluxe Hotel Rooms offer the same standards and same facilities as the Hotel Rooms.

Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed which may be split into 2 King Singles, plus a King Single.

 The Executive Hotel Room:
A suite-like double-size hotel room with a separate bedroom and separate dining/lounge room

Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated

Getting to and from Saletoga Beach Bungalows & Hotel
Guests are personally meet at Faleolo International Airport and Mulifanua Wharf (from Savaii) and provide a transfer to The Resort. There is a charge for this service which we will include in package arrangements. Saletoga Beach Bungalows & Hotel is 60/80 minutes away from Faleolo International Airport and 90 minutes away from the Savaii ferry wharf via the South Coast Road and 60 minutes from Apia City via the Cross-island Road.

The owners of the two Saletoga properties have invested in a number of good-quality Rav4 vehicles which they have available for hire on-site, so we would recommend taking the Resort transfer service and hiring one of their vehicles from the resort once you settle in.  We are happy to pre-book one of the resort rental vehicles for you to ensure availability while you stay at The Resort, but if you want to stay flexible, we are just as happy to include a certain number of days car rental in your package arrangements without having to tie you down to specific dates.

Saletoga Beach Hotel & Bungalows provides a selection of tours operating on specific days weekly which are a great way for their guests to enjoy the major attractions of Samoa’s Upolu Island, especially those who are visiting Samoa on holiday for the first time.   It is a good idea to pre-book those tours in which you have an interest and we are happy to organise to book your choice of tours and include these in your package arrangements.

To Sua Ocean Trench & Togitogiga Waterfall Swim

“To Sua” means giant hole and this swimming pool is unmatched on earth. To Sua is a truly unique place – swim, snorkel, jump from the viewing platform and mingle with the fish. Saletoga Tours reveals all of To Sua’s wonderland – secret turquoise water lava tunnels, ocean swim-throughs, hidden caves, blow holes and more. Guests on Early Arriving and Late Departing Flights
Guests on flights which arrive in Apia early in the morning who wish to guarantee immediate access to their accommodation are highly recommended to pre-book and pay for their accommodation from the night before. 
Guests on late departing flights may only guarantee a late check-out by booking and paying for accommodation for an additional night.
These arrangements should be made at the original time of booking accommodation.

Cancellation Policy
 All cancellations must be made in writing
 Bookings cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival date – No cancellation fee
 Bookings cancelled between 14 and 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date
    incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the cost of the accommodation booked.
 Bookings cancelled within 14 days of scheduled arrival date and no-shows incur a
    cancellation fee equal to 100% of the cost of the accommodation and services booked.
