LE VASA RESORT
Cape Fatuosofia, Main West Coast Road, Mulifanua, Upolu, Samoa
OUR Thoughts on Le Vasa Resort
This is another very special place for a great holiday in Samoa. The location is simply superb – right on the most westerly point of Upolu where the sunset views over the ocean are at their best.
Located almost at the point where the Main West Coast Road turns to the south and becomes the Main South Coast Road which leads to the magnificent beaches on the south coast, Le Vasa Resort is only minutes away from Mulifanua Wharf, the departure point for ferries to both Manono Island and Savaii, Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort and Faleolo International Airport. Apia is 45-minutes away by car.
Le Vasa Resort is a destination in itself as it offers a good range of facilities – a sunset restaurant and bar, (Meal Plans are available for a minimum 3-night stays), a very pleasant resort swimming pool, massage, bicycles and a great deal more. Guests enjoy the options of lazing beside a perfect cove with an intermittent small sandy beach (depending on whether the tide may have washed away the sand), strolling the gardens out to the point which is the perfect spot to enjoy the solitude of the shady fale on the point or taking a cool drink beside the pool. Guests also enjoy exclusive access to a couple of small private off-shore islands.
This beautiful boutique resort has only 13 fales and villas, so all guests receive as much personal attention as they desire. The management and staff members are always happy to provide assistance and suggestions on how best to enjoy your stay, but equally are happy to respect the privacy of those guests who simply wish to relax and recharge – and what a great place this is to do just that. Good-value meal plans are available.
Room Categories (In ascending order of tariff)
Lagoon Water Fales:
The 2 Lagoon Water Fales have only been completed in the past 24 months and both offer a semi over-water experience. They are accessed directly off the land, but a part of the fale, including the balcony and deck, is built out over the lagoon. The Fale-style rounded ceilings and the walls painted in white contrast nicely with the polished wood plank floor. These fales have a mini-kitchenette (but no cooking facilities) and an ensuite tiled bathroom with shower. Each is an open-plan studio room at 28m2.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: Either 1 King Bed and a set of bunks or 1 Queen Bed plus a Sofa Bed or Rollaway.
Additional Bedding: A cot may be added.
Superior Oceanfront Bungalows:
There are 8 Superior Oceanfront Fales which have been refurbished in the past 3 years. Each one varies slightly from its neighbours in décor. The rounded fale ceilings are in the Samoan-style décor with natural wood beams below woven fibre ceiling panels. Walls may be painted or be in half or full woven panels. Floors are polished wood planking. These Bungalows either have a small lawn out front of the balcony which comes complete with sun loungers or a hammock or a veranda deck built out over the water. Every Bungalow has a separate bedroom and ensuite tiled bathroom with walk-in shower. The bedroom may be closed off from the lounge area. However, when the doors between the sleeping area and lounge are open a great view of the ocean and off-shore islands can be enjoyed from the bed as well as from the lounge.
Size – up to 60m2
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: Either 1 Queen Bed plus 1 Single Bed or 1 King Bed and 2 King Single Beds
Additional Bedding: A cot may be added.
Sunset Oceanfront Villas:
84m2 with 2 separate bedrooms and 1 spacious bathroom, the Sunset Villas offer space and Samoan style. There are two verandas providing incredible views of the neighbouring islands and the stunning sunsets. Slightly more contemporary in style but still very Samoan in character, both Sunset Villas features polished wooden plank floors and high-pitched ceilings. Each bedroom has a separate air-conditioning unit.
Maximum Occupancy: 5 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in each bedroom, 1 King Single in the living room.
Additional Bedding: A cot may be added.
