OUR Thoughts on Shearwater Villas, 145 Rocky Point Road, Norfolk Island
A top-range property on a private peninsular from which there are spectacular views of the sea, Phillip Island, Nepean Island and the Kingston Historic area in the middle distance. This place is so relaxing. Guests enjoy the excellent accommodation, the lawns - which cover the peninsular and gently slope towards the coast, the towering Norfolk Island Pines, the white Fairy Terns flying amongst the pines and from mid-October to April or May each year the antics of the Wedge-tailed Shearwater birds (after which the property is named), and on some nights, the sound of the waves meeting the coast below. The dawn and the dusk are both magical times at Shearwater. Enjoy the hush of dawn and dusk from your private veranda or take a drink down to the lawn in the evening and marvel at the view as you wind down your day.
The property has a huge water frontage which runs to the high tide mark at Creswell Bay (the surf beach), right around to its western boundary at Crystal Pool Reserve.
All accommodation is beautifully presented and well equipped with a living room separate from the bedroom/s. Every villa has a well-equipped kitchen and the Three-Bedroom Front Row Villa has an additional kitchenette as part of its attached One-Bedroom Self-contained Apartment, which makes up the third of its 3 bedrooms. Every Villa has a private Weber BBQ on the deck which complements the facilities in their full kitchens.
We love the quiet isolation while still being only a seven—minute drive from town and very handy to Norfolk Island’s many restaurants and cafés. Leave your hectic life behind for the duration of your stay and enjoy the nearby walks, the swimming and snorkelling accessible from here and, when the mood takes you, drive off to explore the rest of what Norfolk Island has to offer before returning to the quiet haven of Shearwater Villas.

Shearwater Villas offer a total of 6 self-contained villas – 3 One-Bedroom Villas, 2 Two-Bedroom and 1 magnificent Three-Bedroom Villa. There is a bathroom for every bedroom.

Luxury One-Bedroom Villas
110m2 including decks, each of the three Luxury One-Bedroom Villa features a separate bedroom and separate living room, floor to ceiling windows and a private east-facing deck complete with Weber gas BBQ. The tiled ensuite bathroom has a full-length bath and a separate walk-in shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, microwave, full-size fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. There is a full laundry, an iPod dock and small library.
Arriving guests enjoy an escorted arrival airport transfer, and seasonal fruit on arrival at the Villa.

Luxury Two-Bedroom Villas
Two Bedrooms, Two Bathrooms
A choice of 2 spacious 140m2 villas. One is single level ground floor, the other is a two-level (walk-up) villa affectionately known as “the Treehouse”– both have exquisite views, 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a separate living room, floor to ceiling windows and private north-east facing decks complete with a Weber gas BBQ. Each kitchen is fully equipped with stove, microwave, full-size fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. There is a full laundry, an iPod dock and small library. Tiled bathrooms feature a walk-in shower.
Arriving guests enjoy an escorted arrival airport transfer, and seasonal fruit on arrival at the Villa.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed, which splits into 2 Single Beds in one bedroom and 1 Queen Bed in the second bedroom.

The Front Row
Three Bedrooms, Three Bathrooms, Private Swimming Pool & Heated Spa
A massive 350m2 three-bedroom villa on one level. The Front Row, as the name suggests, is privately located on the front of the property overlooking a lovely lawn and views of the bay on three sides. As well as the 2 main bedrooms in the main house, there is a third bedroom in the form of an attached 1-bedroom self-contained apartment with a kitchenette. All bedrooms have a modern ensuite bathroom. Guests enjoy a large, covered entertainment area beside the pool and the pool flows into a heated spa pool. The spacious lounge and the main kitchen are delightful. The modern fully equipped, gourmet kitchen comes complete with steamer combo oven, and second oven, coffee machine, microwave and a dishwasher with two dish drawers. The living room and the kitchen offer occupants full panoramic views. The Front Row Villa has a full laundry, a Weber BBQ plus a wood-fired BBQ, Wifi, iPod dock and library, beach towels and snorkelling equipment.

Getting to and from Shearwater Villas
Guests are met at the airport by owner/managers and escorted to the property. Staying at Shearwater Villas you are 7-minutes by car from town and part of the access road runs through the adjacent farm. We recommend you take our rental car option when staying here as this gives you total flexibility to enjoy the whole Norfolk Island experience at your own pace. Norfolk Island has a taxi service too, which is useful for nights out. Known as Kasad Kabs, the fare between Shearwater and town is approximately A$10 one way.

Families are very welcome. However, the property only accepts children aged 10 years and older.

Resort Cancellation Policies
Covid-19 Related Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing
Shearwater Villas offer the flexibility to reschedule accommodation bookings to another date should COVID-19 travel restrictions prevent guests booked from travelling on their original date.
Conditions:
1. For those not in the position to immediately reschedule Shearwater Villas provide a credit for the accommodation for use until 31 March 2022 (excluding Peak Season at Christmas).
2. Rescheduling is subject to availability of accommodation on new dates.
Standard Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing
Cancellations made greater than 21 days prior to scheduled arrival will incur a cancellation fee equal to the cost of staying 2 nights at the accommodation rate booked.
Cancellations received up to 21 days prior to scheduled arrival incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Travel Insurance is recommended.
