OUR Thoughts on Taloa Heights, Halamahaga Road, Alofi
The main thing going for it is the fantastic location. It’s only one kilometre from the centre of Alofi up a quiet road on the low rise behind Niue’s Primary School. This is an ideal location for those who like to be able to walk short distances to restaurants and the centre of Alofi and to enjoy the laid-back lifestyle of Niuean people as they go about their everyday business and leisure activities.
From Taloa Heights it is only 200 metres to the cliff side where there is access down to swimming reef pools and a very good snorkelling and diving area. The closest restaurant, "Falala Fa" is only 100 metres away, "Gabes" is 300 metres and both "The Crazy Uga" and the renowned "Sushi Bar" are both only 500 metres away. The Niue Golf Club is only 3kms away and the boat ramp, where the fishing charters leave from, is 1 kilometre away on the other side of Alofi Village.
The owner/managers always make sure that guests in all the 8 air-conditioned units are well looked after and assisted to enjoy all that Niue has to offer - the Niue Tourism Information Centre is also very handy. Taloa Heights offers Wifi, assistance with tours, sightseeing and rental vehicles as well as laundry facilities and free parking.

Your Accommodation Options
Taloa Heights’ units all have a pleasant interior timber and paint décor which is a little reminiscent of the Norfolk Island accommodation style and which works equally well for Niue. The so-called “Treetop Studios” are located at the highest point of the property with natural forest right behind. Guests in Treetop Studios have ocean views out over the tropical bush further out towards the coast so perhaps that’s what inspired the “Treetop” name. The Bungalow Units are bright and modern with light painted walls and a wood-plank floor. The Villa has a more timbered décor which fits in very nicely with the overall ambience of this beautiful unit. Guests in the Villa and the Bungalow Units enjoy picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean. All accommodation is air-conditioned.

Treetop Studios:
The free-standing Treetop Studios are fairly compact in size at approximately 13.5m2 living space. Designed for indoor/outdoor living, each Studio features a large 16m2 furnished patio. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and the kitchen has an under-counter fridge, microwave, cook-top and comes fully equipped with tea/coffee facilities, cooking utensils and toaster.

Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated
Bungalow Units:
Stand-alone studio units at the front of the property. 18.5m2 in size with a big wrap-around furnished veranda. Bathroom has a shower. Kitchens come complete with fridge-freezer, microwave, tea/coffee facility, cook-top, cooking utensils and toaster. (Love the funky red kettle!) A gas BBQ is available for a small charge to cover the cost of the bottled gas.

Additional Bedding: A Single-size Rollaway Bed may be added
2 Bedroom Villa:
The Villa has 2 separate bedrooms off the living area and a mezzanine which is accessed off the living room via a set of fairly steep stairs. The mezzanine is a bright open-plan area in the loft-style and probably most suitable as a sleeping area for teens. The 2 bedrooms are cosy and don’t fit much more than a Queen Bed but are totally adequate to sleep 2 people. There is one bathroom with a shower. The Villa has a full kitchen with microwave; full gas stove (oven and cook-top) full-size fridge-freezer, all cooking utensils and an electric frypan as well as tea/coffee facility, toaster etc. The Villa has a nice covered outdoor patio furnished with rattan outdoor furniture.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults and 2 Children or up to 6 Adults. The mezzanine is not suitable for children due to the steep stair access.
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed in each bedroom and 2 Queen-size Futon Beds up on the mezzanine.
Additional Bedding: No addtional bedding accommodated
Getting To and From Taloa Heights
Your Specialist at Our Pacific will include return airport transfers in holiday package arrangements as required.
Taloa Heights is located approximately 5kms from Niue’s airport.
Alofi Village, a good natural reef swimming pool and several restaurants are well within walking distance of Taloa Heights.

These times coincide fairly well with the current airline schedule between Auckland and Niue.
