OUR Thoughts on Le Meridien Noumea Resort & Spa, Pointe Magnin, Anse Vate, Noumea
Recently completely refurbished and upgraded, Le Meridien Noumea Resort & Spa is located right on the beach on the point of land known as Pointe Magnin, which forms one end of Anse Vate Bay and Anse Vate Beach. Le Meridien Noumea is next to Chateau Royal and a pleasant 10 to 15 minute stroll away from the shops, night clubs, bars and restaurants around the village at Anse Vate. The whole resort feels comfortable and well run.
This 5 Star property has a good range of restaurants and an excellent “Wellness Centre” which includes sauna and massage rooms. The Tennis Centre next door is also a welcome facility.
We particularly like the large pool complex and the tropical gardens around the pool and beside the beach. You can’t help but be impressed by the fact that most of the staff speak English and this is a definite bonus if your mastery of the French language is a little lacking!
Another interesting facility in the Le Meridien complex is the Grand Casino which has all the normal attractions a casino has to offer. Dining at their “Le Carre D’as” Restaurant in the middle of the gaming floor is a great experience.
Le Meridien Noumea is a good choice for a relaxing holiday and very good option if you are combining pleasure and business.

Your Accommodation Options
The 245 guest rooms at Le Meridien Noumea are housed in two separate 5 to 7 storey blocks which gently curve outwards to maximise the spectacular views of the bays and beaches, the gardens and mountains. The 2 accommodation blocks and the linking central block containing the Lobby and Lobby Bar form a backdrop to the extensive hotel pools, the magnificent new Spa and the various restaurants.
Every room type offers chic French ambience with French South Pacific-style (very nice too!). All rooms and suites are air-conditioned and have at least one ceiling fan. All rooms have a balcony and a very modern and spacious bathroom. The Resort carries a limited number of baby cots which are available at no charge, but are subject to availability.

Classic Garden View Rooms:
Measuring 42 m² in size, Classic rooms offer IDD telephones (2), personal safety box, air conditioning, ceiling fan, personal bar, coffee/tea making, colour television with satellite channels and radio, alarm clock. With a window overlooking the bedroom, a spacious bathroom offers separate bathtub and shower, private toilet, magnifying mirror, hair dryer and Le Méridien amenities. A private balcony offers garden, pool and partial ocean views
Maximum Occupancy: 3 guests (2 Adults & 1 Child or 3 Adults)
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed which can be split into 2 Single Beds

Superior Ocean View Rooms:

Voyageur Suites – 1 Bedroom:
84 m² in size, the One Bedroom Voyageur Suites comprise a living/lounge room with sofa, armchairs, and small dining table and a separate bedroom. Voyageur Suites include all of the facilities and equipment of the Classic and Superior rooms with the bonus of a small kitchenette comprising a microwave, a sink and fridge, and come equipped with cutlery and crockery, so, are a good option for people wishing to prepare simple meals.. A large private balcony offers garden, pool and partial ocean views.
Bathroom features a bathtub and separate shower
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Guests (2 Adults and 2 Children or up to 4 Adults)

Voyageur Suites – 2 Bedrooms:
126 m² in size and consisting of a 1 Bedroom Voyager Suite and a Classic Garden View Room together. This configuration provides all the facilities of both the suite and the Classic Room including a separate living/lounge room with sofa, armchairs, and small dining table, 2 bathrooms and like the Voyager 1 Bedroom Suites, the bonus of a kitchenette comprising a microwave oven, a sink and fridge and come complete with cuttlery and crockery enabling the preparation of simple meals. A large private balcony offers garden, pool and ocean views. The Suite's main bathroom features a bathtub and a separate shower.
Maximum Occupancy: 6 Guests (Maximum 2 children ie 4 Adults and 2 Children or up to 6 Adults)
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in one bedroom,2 Single Beds in the other bedroom and a Sofa Bed in the lounge.
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Rollaway Bed can be added to a room containing a King Bed only
Diplomatic Suites:
A beautiful big 106 m² in size, the two Diplomatic Suites offer a large panoramic terrace, a spacious living/dining room and service area plus a master bedroom with a dressing room. Views from the terrace are exceptional.

Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.
The Presidential Suite:
Measuring 210 m², the Presidential Suite offers a vast living and dining area perfect for entertaining, a media/TV room, a service/kitchen area with the latest kitchen equipment including a wine cellar, a spacious master bedroom with an extra large king-size bed, and a dressing area and bathroom with a spa bath and shower. A long balcony spans the length of the suite and offers an unobstructed ocean view and a second spacious terrace with lounge furniture and dining table is adjoining the Suite.

Getting To and From Le Meridien Noumea Resort & Spa
Airport transfers are provided by an independent contractor and Our Specialists will organise transfers as required/appropriate.
The Number 10 local bus stop is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and this takes you to the Anse Vate Village shops etc. There is a half-hourly bus service between Anse Vate and downtown Noumea. Also, don’t overlook the hop-on/hop-off bus which makes a regular loop of all the tourist sites.
Families & Kids
Children Stay Free
No extra accommodation charge for children aged up to 12 years of age sharing a room with parents, either utilising existing bedding or a rollaway bed (subject to availability of a rollaway bed).

Little Kids Eat Free
Children up to 3 years old eat free from breakfast, kid’s menu and buffet.

Kids Sharing a Voyager Suite Eat Free

Family Plan - Extra Room for Children
25% Discount on Second Room
Book 2 Classic Rooms or 2 Superior Rooms with the 2nd room being for children aged up to 12 years inclusive and receive a 25% discount on the second room.
Conditions:
- Valid for stays in Classic and Superior Rooms only
- A maximum of 2 children aged up to 12 years may
occupy the second room.
- Both rooms must be booked at the same time for
the same family to qualify for the 2nd room discount
Check-in/Check-out
Check-in time is 3:00pm
Check-out time is 12:00 Noon.
Early check-in from 10:30am and late check-out to 6:00pm, when available, is charged at 50% of the room rate booked.
Baggage may be checked in prior to guest rooms being available for occupancy.
Resort Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing
All booked room nights which are not availed once
guests arrive at the hotel will be charged in full.
General Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to scheduled
arrival date incur a cancellation fee equal to the cost of
staying 1 night at the rate booked.
No Shows: Guest who fail to show on the scheduled
date incur a cancellation fee equal to the cost of staying
2 nights at the rate booked.
Cancellation Policy For the Peak Xmas Holiday Season
27 December 2020 to 05 January 2021
Cancellations made between 30 and 45 days prior to
scheduled arrival date incur a cancellation fee equal
to the cost of staying 1 night at the rate booked.
Cancellations made within 30 days of scheduled
arrival date incur a cancellation fee equal to the full
cost of the accommodation booked.
No Shows: Guest who fail to show on the scheduled
date incur a cancellation fee equal to the entire cost
of accommodation booked.
