Our Thoughts on Maile Sky Court
We include Maile Sky Court in our Waikiki hotel options simply because for those travellers looking for a “cheap and cheerful” option in Waikiki, this hotel has quite a lot going for it. Maile Sky Court is rated 2 Star and has a tariff to match. Rooms are small, some are a bit dated and none have a balcony, but are kept very clean and tidy and for a place to base yourself while exploring and enjoying Waikiki and Oahu at a cheap (for Waikiki) price, you could do a lot worse than Maile Sky Court.
The area of Waikiki where Maile Sky Court is located has a somewhat less frenetic feel about it and that’s possibly due to its proximity to the open spaces of Ainahau Triangle Park which leads through to Fort DeRussy Park and Waikiki Beach. From Maile Sky Court it’s an easy 10 minute walk through the parks to a quiet section of Waikiki Beach. Turn right at the beach and you are very quickly at the Hilton Hawaiian Village with all its shops and food outlets, turn left as you arrive at the beach and you are almost at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach and all the attractions of the Beach Walk precinct.
Maile Sky Court has a pleasant swimming pool with a heated Spa Pool beside it on its wide Sun Deck, a resort shop off the lobby and Vit’s Hawaiian Steakhouse is handy for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you don’t feel like venturing too far for a meal.
Consider Maile Sky Court if you are happy with a 2 star-rated property in which the rooms are well serviced and where all the staff give their all to make your holiday a pleasant one. For top value for money we recommend you consider the Studio Partial Ocean View category – it’s not the cheapest option available, but you get more space to go with the convenience of a kitchenette and a pretty good view from the guaranteed higher floor position.

Your Accommodation Options
There are basically 3 different grades of accommodation at Maile Sky Court and each grade provides slightly different facilities. None of the rooms at this hotel have a balcony/lanai.
What we call “Standard” rooms (not a term used by the hotel) are City View Rooms, Partial Ocean View Rooms and Ocean View Rooms. Each of these room types may be on any floor of the building but City View Rooms are more likely to be on lower floors. All these three room categories have an in-window air-conditioner.
The Deluxe Rooms are a little bigger than standard rooms and provide guests not only with wider views but also have the added advantage of a microwave oven and a nice little café table and 2 chairs which is very handy for eating breakfast and snacks at while taking in the view.
Studio Rooms are located on the higher floors (28 to 44), are a good, comfortable size and are equipped with a kitchenette comprising a 2 burner stove-top and kitchen sink along with the under-counter fridge.

Partial Ocean View Rooms:
20m2 in size with a partial, distant view of the ocean.

Ocean View Rooms:
18.5m2 and fairly small but with a nice wide view over Fort DeRussy Park to the ocean beyond - framed on one side by the Trump Hotel and Hale Koa on the other.

Deluxe Ocean View Rooms:

Studio Partial Ocean View Rooms:
The open-plan Studios with kitchenettes are located on floors 28-44 and all feature partial views of the Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head over the surrounding hotel and shopping centre buildings. Kitchenettes include a 2 burner stove top, under-counter fridge and kitchen sink.
27.5m2 is a good comfortable size.

Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Rollaway Bed may be added.
Getting to and from Maile Sky Court
We will include a coach arrival/departure transfer between Honolulu International Airport and Maile Sky Court as required/agreed in package arrangements. Private Car transfers are available at additional cost.
Maile Sky Court has a very handy location on Kuhio Avenue, very close to where it meets Waikiki’s main road - Kalakaua Avenue. On the triangle where these 2 main roads meet there is a lovely little park with a garden and pool surrounding a statue of King David Kalakaua.
Unlimited rides on the Aqua Shuttle between Ala Moana Shopping Centre and all Aqua Waikiki Resorts is included in the daily Convenience Fee. “The Bus” stops virtually outside Maile Sky Court and Waikiki Trolley stops are also handy. However, this location is made for walking with beach access through the nearby parks, the centre of Waikiki within 15 minutes and Ala Moana Shopping Centre a 30 minute amble away.
Kids Policy
Children 17 years of age and under are complimentary if accommodated in existing bedding, sharing with at least 1 paying adult.
