This 2½ Star Hotel is a real gem with its terrific pricing and really handy location on Kanekapolei Street, Waikiki.  Kanekapolei Street runs from Ala Wai Boulevard across Kuhio Avenue and becomes Kaiulani Avenue before it runs into Kalakaua Avenue right in the centre of the Waikiki Beach Precinct out front of the Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa.  Staying at Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki you are only 2 main city blocks from Waikiki Beach but a world away when it comes to price.  It’s a pleasant walk between The Hotel and the beach as on the way you cross Kuhio Avenue where the busses and trolleys have stops for Pearl Harbour, Ala Moana Shopping Centre etc, pass Ohana East Hotel and the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani on your right and Kings Village and Hyatt Regency on your left.  There are ABC Stores everywhere on your walk, (just the places to pick up a snack for lunch, a few coldies or a bottle of wine) and a multitude of restaurants and one of the best little KFCs in the world at Kings Village – not to mention their regular market and the many Asian-style restaurants too. Once on Kalakaua Avenue you are literally steps away from the famous “Dukes” and the incredible Cheesecake Factory at the entry to the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Centre.

The hotel features a large airy, lobby which connects to a Fitness Area and the terrific pool area with its shady cabanas and guest BBQs.  The pool comes to life at night when the Tiki Torches are lit.  

Consider Aqua Aloha Surf if you are seeking a less expensive accommodation option which, while being located a couple of blocks from Waikiki Beach, is certainly within easy walking distance of all the action.  The night time action of Kuhio Avenue is only just around the corner. As is the case with more and more Hawaii Hotels, there is a compulsory daily fee which covers many of the previously included services and facilities.  However, in the case of Aqua Aloha Surf, the so-called “Hospitality Fee” does actually give you pretty good value for the additional price – the continental breakfast for example is in itself almost worth the additional fee and when you add in the complimentary Wifi, the unlimited DVD/Blu-ray/PS3 Game rentals and the Waikiki Shuttle, there really is demonstrable value in the Hospitality fee at this hotel.

Your Accommodation Options
Aqua Aloha Surf is a 16 storey building. On the lower and middle floors the outlook from the rooms is of the nearby buildings over the road, the middle and upper floors provide a wider outlook towards the interior mountains as well as the Ala Wai Golf Course.  The difference in tariff between the various room grades offered is not large so you might like to consider a Superior or De Luxe Room each of which provides more space and has a balcony, whereas the Moderate Rooms are more compact and do not have a balcony.  The Air-conditioners in all the rooms are the in-window/wall type.

 Moderate Rooms:
At 20.4m² the Moderate Rooms are small, but perfectly adequate for 2 guests. These rooms don’t have a lanai (balcony) but guests do enjoy an outlook of other resort buildings on three sides of the building.  The mirrored wall behind the bed/s reflects the room and the outlook and adds a feeling of space.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed or 2 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding: A Cot for a baby may be added.

 Superior Rooms With Lanai:
31.5m² with a pleasant outlook of Waikiki City surrounds from the room and the lanai.

 Deluxe Rooms With Lanai:
The Deluxe Rooms are mid-way up the tower and offer guests a wider view of the other resorts and the Koolau Mountains across the Ala Wai Golf Course.  The suburbs in the valleys of the Koolau Mountains are a blaze of twinkling lights at night.  The Deluxe Rooms are a pleasant 33.4m² with a sliding door out to a lanai.
For a couple, these rooms, at around $10 per person night more than the Moderate Rooms, are well worth considering for their additional space and outlook.

Existing Bedding: Either 1 King or Queen Bed with a fold-out Sofa Bed,
                             or 1 Standard Double Bed, 1 Single Bed and a Fold-out Sofa Bed.
Additional Bedding: 1 baby cot may be added in some room configurations.

Getting to and from Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki
We will include a coach arrival/departure transfer between Honolulu International Airport and Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki as required/agreed in package arrangements.  Private Car transfers are available at additional cost.

The Bus to Pearl Harbour, Ala Moana Shopping Centre and services right around Oahu departs one block away on Kuhio Avenue. Kuhio Avenue is also where most of the various Waikiki Trolley routes depart from.  Staying at Aqua Aloha Surf is easy walking distance to Waikiki Zoo, and it’s not too far to walk to Diamond Head.  Waikiki Beach is an easy 2 blocks walk.    

Kids Policy
