Our Thoughts on Paradise Taveuni
Paradise Taveuni is good-quality boutique Resort tucked away off the mainstream Fiji tourist track out on Taveuni Island which is the third biggest island in the Fiji Group. It is generally considered a place to go for great Scuba Diving and it certainly delivers on that with its highly-rated on-site dive operation but there is a great holiday to be had here for non-divers too. We offer their excellent Dive Packages for beginners through to Master Scuba Diver Courses. Taveuni is volcanic in origin, so there is very little run-off from the land and not a lot of sand to be stirred up by storms, so it offers clear water and exceptional visibility for divers. The Resort is located on a beautiful stretch of the coast where the sea laps right up to the rocky coastline. Guests can Scuba Dive right off the natural rock jetty out front and Shore Dives are available in conjunction with a Dive Package. The Resort has a beautiful Horizon Swimming Pool on the edge of the ocean.
Paradise Taveuni is a great spot for a relaxing holiday, a wonderful honeymoon and a perfect venue for an Island Wedding. Now, lots of resorts provide a very pleasant personal welcome by the resort staff members as guests arrive, but Paradise Taveuni goes one better with a complimentary 15-minute foot rub/massage as soon as you have enjoyed your cool welcome drink. That’s a marvellous way to get the stresses and strains out of your system as soon as you arrive. They are also innovative with their meals. At Paradise Taveuni, full cooked breakfast, 1 course lunch and 2 course dinners are included in the daily tariff. However, you are not stuck with this, their innovation is that guests wanting a 2-course lunch and a 4-course dinner can upgrade to this at a reasonable supplementary charge.

Your Accommodation Options:
The 16 accommodation units at Paradise Taveuni are all air-conditioned and self-rated at 4 Star standard. All have at least a partial ocean view and all have a pleasant Fiji-feel about them. There are 10 stand-alone authentically thatched Bures and 6 Vales (rooms in blocks containing either 2 or 3 individual units). Vale units are open-plan studio-style while Bures have defined sleeping and living rooms. Both accommodation types offer relaxing Fijian ambience.

Oceanview Bures:
The 3 Oceanview Bures are clustered around the central lawn and gardens and have garden and filtered ocean views from their patios. Oceanview Bures comprise 2 rooms, although the dividing wall between the rooms doesn’t reach the ceiling (not having a full barrier assists air-circulation and cooling) in the natural Fiji way. To further aid cooling, the ceilings are high and follow the thatched roof line. There is a ceiling fan in both the bedroom and the lounge areas. Oceanview Bures have a modern bathroom with a bath and shower as well as an outdoor shower in the private walled garden courtyard. The sundeck out front features a double bed-size Fijian Day Bed.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children aged up to 12 years.
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed
Additional Bedding: 2 Single Beds can be added to the lounge area.
Oceanfront Vales:
With stunning ocean views out over the Somosomo Strait and surrounding islands, the joined Deluxe Oceanfront Vale Rooms are big, airy, open plan studio-style with plenty of room for lounging furniture as well as the beds. Vales are air-conditioned and also have a fan. Double opening glazed wooden-framed doors open up to the patio and bring the stunning view right into the Vale. These vales feature an internal bathroom as well as a courtyard Jacuzzi Bath and courtyard shower.

Oceanfront Bure with Deluxe Tub:
Only one of the Oceanfront Bure with Deluxe Tub. King bed in private bedroom with separate lounge room. Outdoor shower and deluxe tub in private tropical garden. Sundeck to watch the beautiful scenery on a Fijian daybed and swing.

Oceanfront Plunge Pool Bures:
The 2 Oceanfront Bures have ocean views from their patio, considered the best rooms at Paradise Taveuni, are for adults only. Like the Oceanview Bures, Oceanfront Plunge Pool Bures comprise 2 rooms, although the dividing wall between the rooms doesn’t reach the ceiling as this assists air-circulation and cooling in the natural Fiji way. In addition to the air-conditioning, to aid natural cooling, the ceilings are high and follow the thatched roof line. There is a ceiling fan in both the bedroom and the lounge areas, ceramic-tiled floor and French Doors opening to the patio. There is a modern bathroom with a bath and shower as well as an outdoor shower and Jacuzzi bath in the private walled garden courtyard. The sundeck out front features a double-bed-size Fijian Day Bed.

There is only one Oceanfront Luixury Bure, adults only, located on the ocean frontage of the resort beside the lawn and gardens. All have ocean views from their patio. The Oceanfront Luxury Bure comprise 2 rooms, although the dividing wall between the rooms doesn’t reach the ceiling as this assists air-circulation and cooling in the natural Fiji way. In addition to the air-conditioning, to aid natural cooling, the ceilings are high and follow the thatched roof line. There is a ceiling fan in both the bedroom and the lounge areas, ceramic-tiled floor and French Doors opening to the patio. Oceanfront Family Vale:
The one Oceanfront Family Vale is created by opening the interconnecting door between 2 Deluxe Oceanfront Vale rooms, the air-conditioned Family Vales comprises 2 of everything the single Vale includes - 2 bathrooms with the courtyard bath and shower option, 2 bedrooms, 2 fridges and so on and all with the stunning ocean views out over the Somosomo Strait and surrounding islands.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults or 2 Adults and 4 children aged up to 12 years, or 3 Adults and 2 Children aged up to 12 years.
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed in both bedrooms.
Additional Bedding: 2 Single Beds can replace the King Bed in the second bedroom.
Getting To and From Paradise Taveuni
By Air
Fiji Domestic Airline flights between Nadi and Taveuni’s Matei Airport take approximately 60 minutes.
Paradise Taveuni guests are met at Matei Airport and transferred by Resort vehicle to the Resort along a scenic route which takes approximately 60 minutes. The return Vehicle Transfer is included in the Resort Tariff. An alternative to the 60-minute road trip is a boat transfer which is offered at additional cost. From Matei Airport guests are driven the short distance to the Taveuni Wharf where they embark on a speedboat transfer along the scenic coastline to The Resort. This transfer also takes approximately 60 minutes.
