NANUKU AUBERGE RESORT FIJI
11 Nanuku Drive, Pacific Harbour, Vitu Levu, Fiji
OUR Thoughts on Nanuku Auberge Resort Fiji
This new (self-rated) Boutique Five Star Resort is a superb addition to the quality, up-market resorts on offer in Fiji. A quality mainland resort located on a perfect beach near Pacific Harbour, Nanuku is a member of the prestigious world-wide Auberge Group of 5-Star boutique properties and lives up to their international standard for accommodation and services while retaining everything about the Fijian holiday experience that we have all grown to love, admire and enjoy.
Staying at Nanuku, the feeling is that of being on an up-market tropical island far away from the cares of the world. Yes, you are on a tropical Island but it is Fiji’s main island Viti Levu, not some far-flung small island which is only accessed by boat, helicopter or light plane. If you so choose, you arrive at Nanuku by road from either Nadi or Suva Airports, although you may also arrive by resort aircraft at the resort’s private airstrip too. Everything about Nanuku Auberge Resort Fiji is top-notch. On our varios visits we are always very impressed with the standard of accommodation which is modern and spacious while retaining a distinct Fijian flavour; the location is unsurpassed and the standard of the food being offered is world-class. Mind you, we were not surprised by the high standards as we have known the general manager of the resort for some time and her previous experience managing top quality 5 Star Fiji Island resorts certainly shows at Nanuku.
Many Suites and Villas have an individual plunge pool or swimming pool. The resort is reasonably spread over the land it occupies but it is a pleasant walk between all accommodation units and the central Club House. During our stay, we occupied one of the Villas furthest away from the central facility (“The Club House”) which is the heart of the resort, and it was only 2 minutes away by resort bicycle ride or a very pleasant 6 to 7-minute stroll. The Club House complex is located on the beach handy to the Beachfront accommodation and it’s here that you find the resort’s main swimming pool, the restaurant, reception and the spa, as well as a plethora of terrific features such as sunken day beds, a 10-person hot tub, the swim-up bar, sun-loungers and more.
The Accommodation Tariff at Nanuku includes:

Finally, we would like to make a comment on the personal mama and buddy service. Villa Mamas will handle housekeeping, do your washing for you if you want any done. (There’s a basket in the room where you place your clothes for washing and your Villa Mama will take it away, wash what you have placed in the basket and bring clothes back folded). Your Villa Mama will iron clothes if you want something ironed etc.
Call your Villa Mama to have your fridge stocked with your favourite non-alcoholic beverages (soft drinks, water etc) at any time and should you want fresh coffee or tea the mama will bring you a coffee grinder and Fiji coffee beans as well as fresh cookies daily. For families, your mama will look after any small kids and provide babysitting services up to 9:00pm.
The Villa Buddy is available to book any tours, rental cars etc that you may need & look after the older kids keeping them active and entertained during the day. The buddy will handle any maintenance issues in your villa and drive you to Reception or Restaurant in a resort golf buggy should you prefer not to walk. All services are provided with a genuine Fijian smile and courtesy - you just pick up the phone!

Lomana Spa and Wellness Centre:
Fijians are natural healers and intuitive in the art of massage. Massage has been part of the Fijian culture for generations. Such healers use local medicinal plants and are known in the village as the ‘Wainimate’. The name of our spa, Lomana, means gift in Fijian, which we think is particularly apt.
At Lomana Spa we offer a journey of spa treatments using fresh local ingredients and ancient methods of massage passed down through generations. Our treatments are infused with the magic and essence of Fiji, leaving you with a sense of warmth and well-being. Our highly skilled spa therapists will help guide your choice of treatments from our special spa menu.
Treatments include a traditional Fijian Bobo massage; heavenly hair and scalp massages and divine facials that will leave your skin glowing. Guests can add a ‘pre-spa soak’ in a hot tub scattered with frangipanis, ensuring muscles are relaxed and you receive the full benefit of your massage. Finish your spa treatment with a special herbal tea in the spa lounge before returning to your villa for a snooze.”
