OUR Thoughts on Fiji Hideaway Resort & Spa, Coral Coast, Fiji
There is no doubt that this place is a great choice for a stay-put holiday in Fiji. The Resort rates at 3½ Star and if you enjoy a mid-range resort with plenty of options for dining, lots of activities and entertainment and a really friendly kick-your-shoes-off atmosphere at a value-for-money price, this could be just the place for your next holiday.
Fiji Hideaway Resort & Spa is a low-rise property spread along a really pleasant beach midway between Nadi and Suva on Fiji’s Coral Coast. The land the resort occupies is a natural bay on the coast with a headland on the western end. Just around the eastern end of the beach there is a nice little coastal Fijian village. The south-easterly breezes keep the location at a pleasant temperature most of the year and all the accommodation is air-conditioned.
With 115 accommodation units, Fiji Hideaway is small enough for the staff to get to know the guests but big enough to be able to provide a really wide range of services. Over recent times the resort has continued to add new features to its already long list of facilities.
There are plenty of opportunities to relax and unwind at Hideaway. In fact, even when simply stopping in on your way between Nadi and Suva, you can’t help but feel the relaxed atmosphere as soon as you step in to the place. The beach and the gardens are very relaxing and all Bures and Villas have a furnished patio which is great for lazing, then there’s the Senikai Spa Village with a full range of treatments on offer. However, once you have settled in (which only takes a few seconds from arrival) you will always find something happening somewhere on the property which you can join in and enjoy – The fun aqua aerobics in the pool, the great pool with its waterslide, the afternoon Bar Games to name a few.
Fiji Hideaway really delivers a feeling of the “Real Fiji”, that somewhat old-fashioned but delightful opportunity to really discover and enjoy something of the way of life of Fijians. Don’t be surprised if a staff member you have befriended genuinely invites you to visit their village. Do take the opportunity to participate in an organised village school visit and be ready with small gifts for the school and the children. Don’t miss the children’s village choir when they entertain at the resort. All these activities add immeasurably to your Fiji holiday experience at Fiji Hideaway Resort & Spa.
Finally, we think it’s important to stress that we believe Fiji Hideaway is well-rated as a 3½ Star property. The food, the services and the whole experience of staying here is very good for a mid-range property – at Hideaway you get what you pay for with the bonus of genuine Fijian warmth and friendliness.

Room Categories (In ascending order of tariff)
Frangipani Bures:
These Fijian-style Bures are located throughout the lush tropical resort gardens and feature an exclusively designed bathroom which includes a shower enclosed in a totally private outdoor courtyard extension to the bathroom. Each light and bright Bure is 41m2 in area. Some are quite close to the road but are shielded from the road by a tall, solid wall.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children aged up to 12 years
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed and 2 Single Beds
1 baby cot (not counted in room maximum occupancy) can be added. However, it should be noted that room space will be limited when a Rollaway Bed and a cot are both added.
Ocean View Bures:
Behind the Beachfront Villas and Bures with ocean views between the Villas & Bures in front. Each Ocean View Bure is 30m2 in area, fronts a beautiful tropical lawn and has outdoor seating surrounded by lush coconut palm trees. Interconnecting bures are available.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults or 2 Adults and 1 Child aged up to 12 years.
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed and 2 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: A cot can be added but space is limited when a cot is added.
Deluxe Ocean View Bures:
40m2 Deluxe Ocean View Bures are located back from the beachfront, still with a view of the ocean. All have air conditioning and ensuite bathroom. Perfect for a couple.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding of any type accommodated.
Beachfront Villas:
Beachfront Villas at 61m2 in area have a sizeable lounge area, private walk-in dressing alcove, an ensuite with twin shower and a private outdoor bathroom. The private outdoor section of the bathroom is tiled in the same way as the internal part of the bathroom, but is open to the sky for a romantic shower experience. Beachfront Villas have a beachfront deck with hammock and face the ocean out over the resort lawn.

Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed and 2 Single Beds
1 baby cot can be substituted for 1 of the Rollaway Beds
2 Bedroom Deluxe Beachfront Bures:
2 Bedrooms 1 Bathroom
The 52m2 Bures have two separate bedrooms and lounge area and features ocean views. Like the rest of Hideaway’s accommodation, 2 Bedroom Bures have high pitched ceilings and modern ceramic tiled floor. One Bathroom with shower. The living area is big enough for lounge furniture and a dining table and chairs. With only 4 of these Bures in the resort inventory, it pays to book well in advance for a chance to obtain space.

Deluxe Beachfront Bures:
Most recently renovated with a deck almost on the beach, the modern 30m2 Deluxe Beachfront Bures are well-appointed with plenty of space for lounge furniture and bi-folding doors which open right up to a nice big beachfront deck with a hammock off to one side. The internal/external ensuite bathroom has a double vanity and a remarkable private outdoor shower in the outdoor extension to the bathroom.

Getting To and From Fiji Hideaway Resort & Spa
We will include airport transfers as required/agreed in holiday arrangements which include Hideaway Resort.
Hideaway is 100kms east of Nadi International Airport on Fiji’s Coral Coast and a direct transfer takes approximately 1.5 hours. A “seat-in-vehicle” transfer can take longer depending on the number of stops made along the way to drop-off travellers staying at other resorts (if any). If your holiday budget can stretch to a private vehicle transfer, the transfer from/to Nadi Airport will be made in the shortest possible time and we are happy to provide costs of both options. Whichever transfer option you take it is a pleasant enough drive along the Coral Coast to reach Fiji Hideaway Resort.
Hideaway is 95km from Suva and 20kms from Sigatoka. The closest golf course is 30kms away.
A scheduled bus runs both ways along the Queen’s Road between Nadi and Suva via the Coral Coast and this provides the opportunity to visit those centres. There is also a frequent local bus service which passes Hideaway on a regular, but unscheduled basis.
Families & Kids
Fiji Hideaway Resort is a family-friendly resort offering generous deals and excellent services and facilities for children.
Children aged 2-12 years sharing with adults and utilising existing bedding stay free of charge.
Children aged 2-12 years (max 2) eat free from kids menu when accompanied by an adult or babysitter for dining.
Children aged 4 to 12 years inclusive enjoy free daily access to “The Hermit Crab” Kids Club and Playground and the Kids’ Wading Pool.

Available 10:00am to 10:00pm for an additional charge payable direct to Hideaway Resort.
