CAPTAIN COOK CRUISES
Yasawa Islands, (departing from Denarau) Fiji

Our thoughts on Captain Cook Cruises
The Captain Cook ship the “Reef Endeavour” has been sailing the tropical waters of the South Pacific and Barrier Reef for around 20 years.  Carrying 130 passengers in 65 cabins at 3,125 tonnes she’s the biggest “small ship” cruising the Yasawa and Northern Islands but still small enough to visit small remote islands and beaches.  We’ve heard comments of “Reef Endeavour” that she is “A beautifully maintained three and a half star ship that delivers a five star experience” and we think this fairly describes what Captain Cook Fiji Cruises deliver. Captain Cook Cruises continuously keep “Reef Endeavour” up to scratch and over the past year-or-so have completed a facelift with new carpet and furniture in public areas and soft Stateroom upgrades including new carpets.  A brand new glass bottom boat has also been added.

For a small ship, “Reef Endeavour” boasts many big ship facilities like a swimming pool, 2 spa pools, Senikai Spa and Massage, sauna, gym and a lift between D Deck and Sun Deck. She has a wide range of cabin options and while the majority of accommodation caters for couples in twin or double cabins, “Reef Endeavour” also has a very good range of options for families with specific cabins with extra bedding in the form of bunks, interconnecting cabins and Family Staterooms.

Captain Cook is based at Denarau and offers an amazingly wide range of cruises.

Bullet 3, 4 and 7 Nights Yasawa Islands Cruises.
There is a 3 night cruise to the Southern Yasawa Islands and a 4 night cruise to the Northern Yasawa Islands. By combining these two cruises you can enjoy a spectacular 7 night cruise with no duplication of island destinations with the exception that you have a day in port at Denarau in the middle of the cruise.  Two optional sightseeing tours are available on this day (The Garden of the Sleeping Giant or The Sabeto Mudbaths) or you might prefer to enjoy all the facilities of Denarau – Golf, Water Park, Spa, shopping etc., then sail off for the second part of the 7 nights cruise.  Combining the 3 and the 4 nights cruises to make a 7 nights cruise works really well and people who have taken this option always tell us that they really enjoyed the experience.

If you are staying at one of the Mamanuca Island Resorts before your cruise you can join “Reef Endeavour” on her Saturday departures from Denarau for either the 3 night Southern Yasawa Cruise or the 7 night Discovery Yasawa Island Cruise by ship’s boat direct from Plantation Island, Musket Cove, Lomani, Likuliku, Malolo, Castaway and Mana Islands.

Bullet The 7 nights Colonial Discovery Cruise
      To Fiji’s Remote North

This cruise visits Northern Viti Levu, then to the charming old capital of Fiji - Levuka, Ovalau Island, then to Savu Savu and its beautiful Big Bay in southern Vanua Levu before crossing to Taveuni (the garden Island) to enjoy Bourma Waterfall, the handicraft market at  Naselesele Village before briefly standing with one foot on either side of the International Date Line, cruise Bligh Water to Sali Sali Island off the north coast of Viti Levu before returning to Denarau.  There are snorkelling, swimming and diving opportunities every day as well as sightseeing, village and school visits.
