OUR Thoughts on Natura Tereora Pool Villa, Tereora Road, Nikao, Rarotonga
Natura’s brand new Tereora Pool Villa is located on the foothills of the interior mountains on Rarotonga’s northern side overlooking the airport and the ocean beyond. The view is “forever”!
Initially, you might consider this to be a somewhat unusual location for a holiday stay on a tropical island, but the location and the facilities on offer provide many benefits for a great Rarotonga holiday. This area of Rarotonga is favoured for living by many of the business people of the country – being removed from the coastal holiday traffic it’s a very quiet area served by a sealed road and only minutes by car (or motor scooter or electric bike) to Avarua Town, the Black Rock swimming beach and lagoon, the famous Punaga Nui Markets, The Rarotonga Golf Club and all the cafés and restaurants scattered along the coast road between The Edgewater Resort and Avarua. To compensate for the fact that you are not right on a beach, the house comes with a private swimming pool and an extensive covered outdoor living area. The pictures you see of the grounds were mainly taken when the house was originally completed and show the grounds being quite bare. Since completion of the build, the grounds have been beautifully planted and are in great shape. The landscaping has been done in such a way to ensure the view has not been compromised.
The house has been built to maximise the view, and what a view it is. The Rarotonga Airport is 500 metres away and the runway runs left to right along the coast out from the villa giving spectacular side-on views of the few arriving and departing aircraft during the day. Beyond the airport, the blue ocean makes a great backdrop and off to one side the lights of Avarua Town twinkle at night.
From the open-plan living area of the house, the design flows seamlessly out to a spacious covered patio through floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. This patio is a pearl – from here you overlook the decking and the pool, the extensive grounds and that view! The patio is furnished with an 8-piece outdoor dining setting and a gas BBQ.
Unless you are really into walking, you will need a vehicle when you stay here and Our Travel Specialist handling your booking will happily advise the options, costs and availability.
The tariff includes a service with linen change and gardening every 3 days, free local telephone calls and the exclusive use of the villa’s swimming pool.

“A modern 3 bedroom villa located hillside in Nikao Village on Rarotonga’s northern side with its own pool and just 3½ kilometres from downtown Avarua with its shops, cafés and restaurants. The 3 bedrooms each have 1 x king bed with one of the bedrooms having a king bed that can be split into 2 singe beds. There’s a modern & functional kitchen complete with oven and microwave, a well equipped laundry, an open plan lounge and dining are with a setting for up to 6 guests. The covered terrace fronting the pool is a great place to relax with an outdoor dining setting and BBQ and within an easy drive are a number of good restaurants and cafés.

This 180m2 villa has 3 air-conditioned bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All linen is supplied. The Main bedroom has a spacious ensuite bathroom with a tiled walk-in/wheel-in shower and double vanity. The second bathroom also has a double vanity, shower and toilet.

Third Bedroom: 1 King Bed which can be split into 2 Single Beds.

General note re a holiday home stay.
Holiday homes are a very welcome addition to the accommodation options available on Rarotonga. Obviously, individual holiday homes offer widely differing standards and specifications as to what is included and the services which are available to guests taking this accommodation option. As a general rule, a holiday home is a private citizen’s private residence or holiday place and, unlike a stay at a resort, a manager or owner may not be available on-site. However, the owner (or an agent of the owner) may be available to sort out any problems or maintenance issues encountered (and visits by neighbours’ dogs and chickens!!) It is sensible to maintain a reasonable level of security and to keep up a personal insect repellent program. Through understanding what this accommodation style entails, a really enjoyable holiday can be had in a holiday home in Rarotonga.
Getting to and from Natura Tereora Pool Villa
The Natura people have a very good system for arriving and departing guests. Their contracted driver will be at the airport to meet arriving guests. The driver will have access to the keys to the property and after providing the transfer to the property, will open up and give a short orientation of the villa, its features and facilities. The driver will call again at the completion of your stay and transfer you back to the airport on departure.

Property Payment Policy
Full payment is required at least 60 days prior to scheduled arrival date.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing
Cancellations made outside 60 days of travel – no fee
Cancellations made between 45 and 60 days of scheduled
arrival incur a cancellation fee equal to 20% of the cost of
the accommodation booked.
Cancellations made between 30 and 44 days of scheduled
arrival incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the cost of
the accommodation booked.
Cancellations made within 29 days of scheduled arrival
incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the cost of the
accommodation booked.
Guests who fail to show on the scheduled date of arrival
and guests who depart prior to scheduled departure date
are charged 100% of the cost of the accommodation
booked but not utilised.
