OUR Thoughts on the Muri Beach Club Hotel, Muri Lagoon, Rarotonga
What an amazing range of services and facilities for a boutique-style hotel with only 30 rooms and what a magic location! The Muri Beach Club Hotel offers something a little different for Rarotonga. It’s very modern in its style and décor and while the recent soft furnishings refurbish has softened some of the previous edginess, it fits into its environment exceptionally well, delivering its guests a perfect balance of sophistication in a relaxed beach and lagoon setting. Tropical Breakfast (which includes one hot dish) is included in the tariff which can be upgraded to a cooked breakfast for a small additional charge and a half board meal plan (full breakfast and dinner) and a full board meal plan (full breakfast, lunch and dinner) may be prepurchased through OUR Specialists.
Muri Beach faces east, so the sunrise can be stunning, but guests here don’t miss out entirely on sunsets either. The sunset displays, so vivid on the other side of the island, light up the mountains behind the Muri Lagoon and the Muri lagoon’s little motu islands. The lagoon and the motus are right out front of the Muri Beach Club Hotel and the filtered sunset on this side of the island provides a wonderfully “soft” environment for a romantic wedding ceremony. We are really impressed with the way the layout of this property works so well in this magic location. Because it faces east, there are times when the easterly wind blows straight over the Muri Lagoon and makes for great lagoon sailing conditions. If you don’t want to go sailing and just want to continue taking in the sun, the wind is no problem when you are stay at Muri Beach Club as the enclosed central courtyard, which includes the Resort’s swimming pool and sun-loungers, is well sheltered from the easterly wind. Because this is an adults-only resort, sun-lounging around the pool is always very calm and peaceful.

Your Accommodation Options
As you arrive at the beautiful, 24-hour Reception area, the Resort Pool is off to your left and the two-level block directly ahead of you houses the Premier Garden Rooms. Next to these rooms and towards the beach you will see the two-level block of Pool View Rooms. Past the pool out front of the resort you find “The Point” Restaurant which opens right up to the beach and on each side of The Point Restaurant there is a two-level block of Deluxe Beachfront Rooms. All accommodation is air-conditioned, modern and light, all rooms have beautiful, tiled ensuite bathrooms with hairdryer and shower and, a facility not often found in the tropics, heated towel-rails. Each room has a furnished balcony or patio, 32” flat screen satellite TV, tea/coffee facility, fridge (with minibar on request) and free unlimited highspeed Wi-Fi usage. We think you will like the little extra touches like an iron and ironing board in each room and personal beach towels which are changed daily.

Premier Garden Rooms:
Although these rooms are furthest away from the beach at the Muri Beach Club, none is more than around 50 metres from the beach. The ground floor rooms face the tropical garden and most of the first-floor rooms have a view of Rarotonga’s mysterious interior mountains. Room size is a generous 43m2
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults.
Existing Bedding: 2 Super Queen Beds.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.
Pool View Rooms:
The size of Pool View Rooms is 35m2. First-floor balconies offer views over the pool and the interior mountains off to one side. Come down to the ground floor and you are only steps away from the pool, a few more steps and you are on the beach!

Existing Bedding: 1 Super King Bed which may be split into 2 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.
Deluxe Beachfront Rooms:
Right on the pure white sand of Muri Beach, guests in the 41m2 Deluxe Beachfront Rooms enjoy bathrobes and slippers for a little extra luxury. From both the ground-floor and first-floor Beachfront Rooms there are unencumbered views of the lagoon and the little lagoon motu islands and, the fabulous sunrise. You can wade out to the little motu island which is straight off Muri Beach Club, but better still, take a kayak (complimentary for guests) from the Aqua Centre and paddle yourself out to the motu over the calm lagoon.

Getting to and from Muri Beach Club Hotel
Muri Beach Club Hotel provides a Meet and Greet service for guests arriving on international flights. Their representative will offer a small bottle of chilled water and assist guests to either their bus or private car transfer. We will include the cost of either a seat-in-bus or private car transfers in package arrangements as required/agreed.
● This resort is located on Muri Beach so it is an easy walk to the many restaurants and tourist facilities in this area.
● The Circle Island Buses depart hourly from the roadside outside Muri Beach Club Hotel. Buses travel both clockwise and anti-clockwise each hour during the day. The time to and from Avarua on the ant-clockwise direct bus route is 13 minutes; the time to and from Avarua on the clockwise indirect bus route is 35 minutes.

Muri Beach Club Hotel is an Adults-Only Resort. Minimum age of guests accepted is 18 years.

Early check-in between 6:00am and 2:00pm may be arranged at a charge of NZ$200 plus tax
Late Check-out up to 6:00pm may be arranged at a charge of NZ$200 plus tax (currently 15%)
Early Arriving Flights
We recommend that all guests arriving prior to 6:00am should book and pay for their room from the night before to guarantee access to their room at the time they arrive. Not doing this could result in a wait of around 10 to 12 hours to gain entry to your accommodation.
