OUR Thoughts on The Edgewater Resort & Spa, Arorangi, Rarotonga.
The Edgewater Resort & Spa is the best-known Cook Islands resort, offering affordable luxury on the sheltered west coast of Rarotonga. Your Accommodation Options
As you would expect in a resort of this size there is a wide range of accommodation options. All accommodation is air-conditioned. All 2 level and 3 level blocks are “walk-up” (no lifts).
Room Categories (In ascending order of tariff)
Garden Rooms &
Garden Superior Rooms:
With plenty of space and balcony or patio facing the tropical gardens, Garden Rooms are only around 50 metres from the beach. Garden Superior Rooms are located closer to the beach between the Garden and Lagoon View Rooms and have balconies or patios with garden views. There is an interconnecting room option which is a great feature for families or 2 couples travelling together.
Maximum occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults & 2 Children
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed & 1 Single Bed or 3 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Rollaway Bed or cot can be added for a second child aged under 12.
Lagoon View Rooms
Bright, colourful and airy, balconies or patios with views out over the lagoon. Interconnecting rooms option.
Maximum occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults & 2 Children
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed & 1 Single Bed or 3 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Rollaway Bed or cot can be added for a second child aged under 12.
Beachfront Rooms:
Bigger and more modern, the Beachfront Rooms have big, spacious balconies from which to view the lagoon, the ocean and the magnificent sunsets. Good-sized bathrooms feature a spa bath which is a feature enjoyed by romantic couples and honeymooners.
Ground floor Suites offer disability accessible option.

3 Bedroom Garden Villas &
3 Bedroom Beachfront Villas:
The Resort describes their 3 Bedroom Villas as ‘A home away from home’. Each Villa has a full kitchen with modern appliances, breakfast bar, fridge/freezer, 4-burner stove with oven, dining suite, air conditioned living area and covered patio with outdoor furniture. The bedrooms are fan-cooled. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and there is a second bathroom to service the other two bedrooms. Villas are fully serviced every 3 days. A daily light service comprising towel change and rubbish removal is provided daily. Two 3 Bedroom garden Villas offer wheelchair access and wet showers.
The 3 Bedroom Beachfront Villas are in 2-level blocks, each containing only 2 villas – one on each floor.
The 3 Bedroom Garden Villas are stand-alone individual buildings.

Existing Bedding: 2 Queen Beds & 2 Single Beds or 6 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: A baby cot may be added.
Getting to and from The Edgewater Resort & Spa
Cars, scooters and bicycles can be rented on-site and the Circle Island buses loop through the resort to pick-up and drop-off Edgewater guests.
Kids & Families
The Edgewater Resort & Spa cater for families really well. The Resort’s Coconuts Kids Club is an excellent facility and is open daily except Sunday.
Kids Stay Free
Up to 2 children aged up to 12 years stay free when sharing with adults (subject to room occupancy maximums).
Portable cots for infants aged under 2 years are provided free of charge when available (subject to room occupancy maximums)
Kids Play Free
Coconuts Kids’ Club is a complimentary service for children aged 4 to 12 years.

7:00pm to 9:00pm.
The Club operates out of a new, purpose-built, secure indoor/outdoor venue which features audio visual entertainment units, three spacious themed rooms and an outdoor recreation area fitted with play equipment.
Activities include:
● Interactive lessons on local culture and customs
● Rarotongan drumming lessons
● Cook Islands dancing
● Costume making
● Creating local souvenirs
● Crab hunting
● Post-card painting
● Painting a coconut
● Tie-dying fabric
● Also available: electronic games and indoor entertainment.

Late Check-Out up to 6:00pm may be pre-booked and costs 50% of nightly room rate

Early Arriving Flights
The Resort recommends that all guests arriving prior to 6:00am should book and pay for their room from the night before to guarantee access to their room at the time they arrive. Not doing this could result in a wait of 12 hours or more to gain entry to your accommodation.
