OUR Thoughts on Rumours Luxury Villas & Reflections on Rarotonga, Muri Lagoon, Rarotonga.
Here are two words which spring to mind when entering your villa at Rumours Luxury Villas - “Amazing” and “Incredible”. The feeling of space and style permeates the whole villa and those villas which have a beach frontage, open to a sublime vista of the clear lagoon, reef and ocean. They have managed to capture a perfect balance of luxury and relaxed island-style ambience.  Rumours is a great spot for a romantic break and a marvellous location for a honeymoon. The design of each villa is outstanding and fits perfectly with their location on the Muri Lagoon. Most villas give you the opportunity to enjoy the beach atmosphere out front and, on the odd occasion, especially in the winter months, when the cooler south-easterly winds may spring up, to repair into the private world of their sheltered, gated garden courtyards complete with a bigger-than-plunge pool-sized swimming pool which is fed by a waterfall cascading over a rock promontory at one end and in all except the Beachside Villas, a bubbling hot Jacuzzi Spa Pool. (Reflections villas also don't have spa pools). Every villa is a minimum of 230m² – you can’t help but be impressed by the feeling of space and quality.  A great shopping complex is located next to Rumours Luxury Villas in Muri.  The complex includes a general store, liquor store, restaurant, bar, coffee cart and a takeaway food options.

Minimum Stay Policy:
Both Rumours Luxury Villas & Reflections on Rarotonga have a minimum stay policy of 3 consecutive nights. 

Your Accommodation Options
Rumours Luxury Villas is actually divided over 2 distinct properties being 500 metres apart from it's sister property Reflections on Rarotonga. Rumours Luxury Villas consits of 5 villas and the main office and Reflections on Rarotonga has 2 Villas and the spa is in this area.

Both overlook the Muri lagoon and both are superb in every way.  Rumours includes a group of 5 luxury Villas, located on a lovely broad sand beach right  including their 2 Rumours Beachside Villas, their 2 Rumours Beachfront Villas and their very special Rumours Platinum Beachfront Villa. Reflections on Rarotonga's 2 Villas both have private swimming natural rock waterfalls.  

All 7 Villas feature 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as well as an individual private courtyard swimming pool and full kitchen facilities.

Rumours Luxury Villas:

Rumours Beachside Villas:
These are part of the group of 5 villas and are lead-in price wise at Rumours.  With all the same luxury facilities as the Beachfront Villas, the reason for their price difference lies in the fact they do not offer a direct beach view (although they are both very close to the beach and have direct beach access) and, while they each have private courtyard gardens, swimming pool and waterfall, they do not offer a Jacuzzi Spa Bath as do the more expensive Beachfront Villas and the Beachfront Platinum Villa. For those seeking total privacy and a less expensive option, consider these Beachside Villas – there is no compromise on the standard luxury features and services.
Each Villa is approximately 230m² in area
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults
Existing Bedding: 1 Super-King Canopied Bed in both bedrooms
Additional Bedding: A single rollaway bed may be added in one villa should the third and fourth guests require separate sleeping arrangements.

Rumours Beachfront Villas:
Located alongside the Rumours Platinum Beachfront Villa in the group of 5 Villas, the 230m² Rumours Beachfront Villas virtually open on to the sand at the quiet end of Muri Beach. Enjoy the sunrise views over the lagoon, kayak on the lagoon with your personal kayak or take a totally private break in your gated, walled garden courtyard complete with exclusive swimming pool and waterfall, and, in the cool of the evening, enjoy your private, hot Jacuzzi Spa Pool. Walk across a little bridge to your bedroom.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults
Existing Bedding: 1 Super-King Canopied Bed in both bedrooms
For a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 15 years and over, one of the Canopied Day Beds in the lounge may be converted to a sleeping bed and this, with the Super King Bed in the second bedroom, provides separate beds for 2 children aged 15 plus.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.

Rumours Beachfront Platinum Villa:
Absolute beachfront in the group of 5 Villas at Rumours, the 270m² Platinum Villa is the epitome of beachfront luxury with its towering cathedral ceilings and huge private courtyard which is entered over a bridge and features a large personal swimming pool and bubbling hot spa pool.  Enjoy your personal movie theatre with 2.5metre projection screen. Press a button and your personal 55” TV will rise automatically.  An indoor waterfall flows into a stream swarming with tropical fish and both bathrooms are marble throughout. There are large decks front and rear. The Platinum Villa facilities includes a conventional convection oven.

Existing Bedding: 1 Super-King Canopied Bed in each bedroom.
For a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 15 years and over, the couch in the Media Room may be converted to a bed. This arrangement along with the Super King Bed in the second bedroom, provides separate beds for 2 children aged 15 plus.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated. 

Reflections on Rarotonga:

Private Reflection Absolute Beachfront Villas:
Guests aged 12 years and over are allowed at Reflections on Rarotonga. The Absolute Beachfront Villas have a separate upstairs & downstairs living areas each with its own Bedroom & Bathroom. Kitchenette. Private Garden area with Sundeck & Pool. Secluded beachfront area with Award winning Spa facility onsite.
One villa has the second bedroom upstairs which is equipped with 2 King Single Beds.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 adults
Existing Bedding: 1 Super-King Canopied Bed in both bedrooms. In one Private Reflection Absolute Beachfront Villa the Super-King bed in the second bedroom splits into 2 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding accommodated.

Getting To and From Rumours Luxury Villas & Reflections on Rarotonga
Guests are personally met at Rarotonga Airport with a superior fresh flower Ei (garland) and provided with a VIP transfer to Rumours or Reflections on Rarotonga.  A VIP airport transfer is also provided on departure.

For those into walking, it is a pleasant beach walk along to all the attractions, restaurants, Night Food Market etc of Muri Beach.

Of course, the round-island buses stop on demand at Rumours, but we would recommend a hire car or hire scooter bike (or E-bikes) for the duration of your stay.  There is so much to see, do and enjoy on a holiday in Rarotonga and staying at Rumours you are central to it all - you would really appreciate having your own transport available whenever you decide to venture out. 

Kids’ Policy
Only guests aged at least 15 years are accepted as guests at Rumours Luxury Villas. 
Only guests aged at least 12 years are accepted as guests at Reflections on Rarotonga.
Families with adult children can be comfortably accommodated in most villa categories. 

Check-in/Check-out
Check in time is 2:00pm
Check out time is 11:00am
Early Check-In
The way to guarantee access to your villa prior to 2:00pm accommodation is to book and pay for your Villa from the previous night.
Late Check-Out
To guarantee use of your villa after 11:00am, accommodation should be booked and paid for an additional night.
