OUR Thoughts on Pacific Resort, Muri Beach, Rarotonga
This property delivers an excellent holiday for just about every category of holidaymaker. Excellent for families (children of all ages), couples, honeymooners, people wanting to be active, people wanting a totally relaxing holiday, the budget-conscious and those looking for a higher degree of accommodation and services – you can pretty-well name it and Pacific Resort Rarotonga fits the bill.
The location, towards the northern end of Muri Beach and the Muri Lagoon is stunning. Over the years, a whole raft of outside services has sprung up around Pacific Resort in the form of cafés, restaurants, other smaller resorts, food-markets, road-side stalls and so on and they have all added to the colour and the vibrancy of the enjoyable holiday environment around the resort. Pacific Resort itself has added to the Muri experience in no small way by a therapeutic massage treatment room and a whole range of family activities and services including their wonderful Pacific Kids Club, their Kids Stay, Play & Eat Breakfast Free program and their babysitting service too.
The resort-wide upgrade to a new on-demand entertainment system, including an extensive selection of movies and TV shows is a welcome additional service/facility, and, most recently, the full refurishment of Sandals Restaurant. The temporary beachfront marque has been removed and the area it previously occupied, converted into a sun lounger platform.

Your Accommodation Options
All accommodation is air-conditioned and contains a mini fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Villas have full kitchens. Complimentary daily Tropical/Continental breakfast at Sandals Restaurant is included in the tariff for all accommodation types.
Please note the term “studio” denotes an open-plan living space. The room descriptions are provided in an ascending order of tariff.
Room Categories
Studio Rooms:
Located either ground floor or first floor in garden-facing 2-level blocks. With an area of 36m2, each has either a patio or balcony complete with outdoor seating. The living area includes lounge chairs and coffee table, mini fridge and tea/coffee facility. TV with in-house channels, in room safe, jug and toaster.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Guests
Existing Bedding: 1 Super King Bed or 2 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: 1 baby cot can be added.
Family Rooms (Open Plan):
Family Rooms (Open Plan) are located either on the ground floor or the first floor of garden-facing 2 level (walk-up) blocks. Each has an area of 46m2 and contains 1 separate bedroom with a King bed or 2 Single beds and a separate open-plan living area with a Queen Bed or 2 Single Beds, 2 comfortable setees, coffee table, mini fridge plus tea/coffee facility.
1 bathroom.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults or 2 Adults & 2 Children
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed or 2 Single Beds in the open-plan lounge area and 1 Super King or 2 Single Beds in the separate bedroom.
Additional Bedding: 1 baby cot can be added.
Premium Garden Suites:
Premium Family Rooms:
These 44m2, single-storey beauties are open-plan, yet, when set-up as a Suite, the living and sleeping areas still feel separate because the bathroom walls encroach a metre or so into the open area of the room creating a dividing barrier between the living and sleeping areas. There is a mini fridge and tea/coffee facility and a 32” flat screen TV and DVD player. (Microwave on request). The bathroom is a good size and there is a garden patio. These are all ground floor units and each one is staggered back from the one beside to provide individual privacy when guests are sitting outside.
When set up as a Premium Garden Suite:
Maximum Occupancy: 3 Adults
Existing Bedding: 1 Super King Bed which can be split into 2 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Bed and a baby cot can be added
When set up as a Premium Family Room:
The 2 single lounge chairs are removed and a second Super-King Bed or 2 Single Beds are added to the lounge area.

Existing Bedding Configuration: 2 Super-King Beds, either or both of which may be split to form up to 4 Single Beds

Premium Beachfront Suites:
Premium Beachfront Suites are the ultimate option for those seeking a sophisticated retreat in paradise. Step out from the ground floor suite on to the soft white sand of Muri beach or enjoy your own private balcony from the 2 first-floor suites and experience the same unbeatable views of the stunning lagoon. 53m2 Premium Beachfront Suites are well-appointed with Polynesian décor and cleverly designed for optimum sleeping and lounging areas along with a spacious modern bathroom. Each suite features air-conditioning, ceiling fan, telephone, television, on-demand entertainment system, USB charging outlet and an open-plan space complete with super king size bed, in-room safe, hairdryer. Basic kitchen facilities include a mini fridge, Nespresso machine, and tea/coffee making facilities. Laundry facilities conveniently located nearby.

VILLAS
The Pacific Resort’s fantastic Villas are located on the resort’s northern boundary and are separated from the other accommodation by a wide lawn dotted with coconut palms. There is a 3 Bedroom Beachfront Villa virtually on the beach, next back from the beach are two 3 Bedroom Lagoon Villas, so called because they offer lovely lagoon views, next back there are 2 blocks each containing two beautiful 2 Bedroom Premium Garden Villas.
Premium Garden Villas (2 Bedroom):
Refurbished, spacious and comfortable, these 120m2, one level Villas are set amongst the tropical gardens have two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom has a big ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a similar-size bathroom next to it but access to this bathroom can also be gained direct from the lounge room without passing through the bedroom. Each Villa is equipped with a 32” flat screen TV, DVD and CD player, a full kitchen and a separate lounge. Each Villa also has a private outdoor BBQ and dining area. BBQs can be hired if required.
Ideal for an extended family, 2 couples or a group of friends travelling together when configured with 5 Single Beds.

Existing Bedding: 2 Super-King Beds either or both of which can be split into Single Beds
Additional Bedding: 1 Single Bed and a baby cot can be can be added to the lounge area.
Premium Lagoon View Villas (3 Bedroom):
At 195m2, these 2 villas are similar to the Beachfront Villa but are located beside the Beachfront Villa further back from the beach, although still with very good views over the lagoon. Both downstairs bedrooms share one bathroom while the upstairs bedroom has a private ensuite bathroom. These refurbished Villas offer spacious, modern living combined with contemporary styling taking influence from traditional Cook Islands design. With a touch of seclusion from other rooms on the property, it contains 40” flat screen TV with in-house channels, private laundry facilities, full kitchen and bar and private courtyard with BBQ hire available. Two bathrooms.

Additional Bedding: 1 Single Bed and a baby cot may be added to the lounge area.
The Premium Beachfront Villa (3 Bedroom):
The moment you set foot in the 195m2 stand-alone Beachfront Villa you are hit with the size and the space. The huge living area, with its high vaulted (and almost circular) ceiling opens out to a beautiful lawn and views towards the lagoon. This Villa is the premium accommodation type at Pacific Resort Rarotonga and is located virtually right on the beach. The master bedroom with private ensuite bathroom is upstairs and the personal sitting area of the bedroom opens in the form of a mezzanine over the living area. The bed and the bathroom are privately located at the back of the mezzanine space. The second and third bedrooms, one bedroom with an ensuite and the other bathroom is a main bathroom for the 2nd bedroom located off the living area downstairs, thefore there are 3 bathrooms for each bedroom. The Villa is equipped with a 32” flat screen TV, DVD and CD player, private laundry facilities, a full kitchen and a separate lounge. There is a private outdoor BBQ area with sun-loungers and outdoor seating on the extensive patio area beside the lawn. Enjoy easy access to Muri Beach. BBQs are available to hire if required.

Getting to and from Pacific Resort Rarotonga
The options are either a coach or private car arrival/departure transfer from/to Rarotonga International Airport to Pacific Resort Rarotonga and we will include your choice of transfer as required/agreed in package arrangements.
All “Round-The-Island Buses” stop at Pacific Resort. On the direct anti-clockwise route, it takes only 15 minutes on the bus to town; on the indirect clockwise route, it takes 25 minutes.
Being located in the heart of Muri, means that most facilities in the form of independent cafés and restaurants, the Night Market, lagoon activity operators, village shops and road-side stalls are within easy walking distance.
Families and Kids
Pacific Resort is an excellent resort choice for families and they cater for children very professionally. Parents can have confidence that their children are being well looked after and can relax in the knowledge that their kids are having fun without the worry that they might be bothering other guests. The Resort has special Kids’ Menus and babysitting is easily arranged upon request.
Kids Stay Free
Children under 12 years of age stay free of charge when staying in a room, suite or villa with parents and occupying existing bedding. (subject to individual accommodation type room maximum occupancy policies). Cots, when allowed in accommodation types, are charged at $25 per night and subject to availability at the time of booking accommodation.

All children aged up to 12 years, staying at The Resort are offered free Tropical/Continental breakfast in Sandals Restaurant.

Kids Play Free
Kids of all ages are welcome at Pacific Resort Rarotonga. Their Pacific Kids’ Club is complimentary to all children staying at Pacific Resort.
Unaccompanied children aged 6 to 12 years are welcome; children aged under 6 years are also welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The Kids Club operates daily 9:30am to 4:00pm.
Kids' Pool
The special Kids' Pool is a great place for kids to splash and play - it's only 35cm deep, so it's ideal for little kids. There is another pool adjacent to the Kids' Pool which is deeper and ideal for older children.

Standard check-in and check-out times are:

Early Check-in and Late Checkout
Early check-in and late check-out may be requested but will always be subject to availability once guests have arrived at the hotel.
Guests' luggage can be stored in the event that an early check-in or a late check-out is not available
To guarantee an early check-in or a late check-out, guests are recommended to pre-book the night before arrival and/or the night post departure.
Early Arriving Flights
The Resort recommends that all guests arriving prior to 6:00am should book and pay for their room from the night before to guarantee access to their room at the time they arrive; not doing this could result in a wait of around 12 hours to gain entry to accommodation.
