OUR Thoughts on Lagoon Breeze Villas, Aroa, Rarotonga
Unlike many of the smaller mid-range resorts on Rarotonga, Lagoon Breeze Villas happily accept families with children of all ages in all accommodation types; it is also a good choice for singles, couples and honeymooners looking for a small resort in a great location with a good standard of accommodation and services at mid-range prices.

The location is a highlight. At the southern end of Rarotonga’s Arorangi area, you find the Aroa Lagoon and this is where Lagoon Breeze Villas is located. Although the property is immediately across the road from the beautiful little white sand beach at Aroa, in some ways, the division of the resort and the beach, seems to add to the exclusiveness of the place. Guests in the 2 storey Two Bedroom Polynesian Villas enjoy good views of the lagoon and for all guests the beach is only a few steps away. It is literally only a five-minute walk to the Rarotongan Beach Resort and Sanctuary with their several restaurants. Kavera Central with its general store and its local café-style dining is a couple of minutes’ walk in the other direction. A Dive Shop and Coco Putt mini-golf with its café are both close by and the Wigmore Superstore is handy, but probably best accessed by hire motor-scooter, car or on the round-island bus which stops on demand right outside Lagoon Breeze Villas.

Although cooking facilities are included in all units, the complimentary tropical breakfast served daily at Lagoon Breeze’s lovely little outdoor café is a great feature and provides guests with the opportunity to meet and mingle if they wish. We know you will enjoy the Happy Hour (4:30pm to 6:30pm) each evening as the sun sets over the lagoon and the sky over the interior mountains blazes with colour.

Your Accommodation Options
The 25 units at Lagoon Breeze Villas are spread throughout the tropical gardens. Every Villa features air-conditioning, high sloping ceilings and full kitchens with a combo fridge/freezer. Garden Studios have a good kitchen too although the fridge is smaller but still totally adequate. Garden Studios, 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom Villas are all of generous size and include a bathroom with a separate shower and a hair dryer. There are ceiling fans, IDD phone, insect screened windows, dining and lounge area and outdoor furnished deck. 

The 5 Bedroom Deluxe Villa which is newly incorporated into the overall resort is a major development offering a private sanctuary within the resort. It sleeps 12 adults/children in deluxe comfort and while guests enjoy al the facilities of the resort, it also offers a secluded private swimmimg pool and private garden.

Room Categories (In ascending order of tariff)
 Garden Studios:
Six spacious light and bright, open-plan units in 3 separate duplex blocks (2 units in each block); handy to the swimming pool and guest BBQ area. Every Garden Studio comes with a kitchenette (microwave and gas cooker), tiled floor throughout, dining table and chairs and a covered deck. We like the layout of these units, as, while they are open-plan studios, the kitchen and bathroom are off to one side, so they don’t impact too much on the sleeping/living area and staying in one of these units, you don’t feel like you’re living in a kitchen!
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults and 1 Child
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed plus 1 Single Bed
Additional Bedding:  A portacot for a baby can be accommodated in addition to the standard occupancy.

 One Bedroom Villas:
Twelve lovely villas set furthest away from the road and the pool. There are 6 blocks with 2 villas in each block. These Villas feature light-coloured tiled floors, light-coloured walls and timber-lined high sloping ceilings. There is a separate bedroom which can be closed off from the rest of the villa or opened up to increase the already spacious feel of the villa. The kitchenette (microwave, gas cooker and fridge/freezer) and dining area flows through into a nice big lounge. A patio door opens off the lounge to a covered deck which contains an outdoor dining setting.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Guests (adults or adults and children)
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed in the bedroom and 2 Single Beds in the lounge area.  The Queen Bed in the bedroom may be split into 2 Single Beds to accommodate 2 individual guests and the 2 Single Beds in the lounge may be joined to make a second Queen Bed when 2 couples are sharing.
Additional Bedding: A portacot for a baby can be accommodated in addition to the 4 guest standard occupancy.

 Two Bedroom 2 Level Villas: (2 Bathrooms)
Four stand-alone villas on their own private lawn immediately to your right as you enter the Lagoon Breeze Villas driveway. These Polynesian-inspired villas feature natural wooden floors and wooden joinery which provides guests with a pleasant relaxing environment. There is a bedroom with ensuite bathroom (shower) on the ground floor as well as a beautiful open-plan full-sized kitchen, dining and lounge area which opens on to a large covered terrace. Upstairs, there is a second bedroom complete with its own ensuite bathroom with a shower. The upstairs bedroom has louvered doors which open out to a private deck and views of the lagoon.
The 2-Level and the One-Level 2 Bedroom Villas have the same tariff structure.

Existing Bedding: The upstairs bedroom has a King Bed which can be split into 2 Single Beds.  The downstairs bedroom has 3 Single Beds, 2 of which can be joined to make a second King Bed.
Additional Bedding: A portacot for a baby can be accommodated in addition to the 5-guest standard occupancy.

 Two Bedroom One Level Villas: (2 Bathrooms)
Located on a private expanse of lawn to your left as you enter the property, the 2 Bedroom One Level Villas are really spacious. Featuring tiled floors, light-coloured walls, pleasant timber lined high sloping ceilings and a huge wrap-around veranda; these villas sleep 5 in comfort and are ideal for families or groups of friends travelling together. There are 2 separate bedrooms and a large open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom which contains a toilet and small vanity basin only. The main bathroom which is accessed direct from the living area and the wrap-around veranda contains a shower, toilet and vanity.
Existing Bedding: The bedroom with ensuite has a King Bed which can be split into 2 Single Beds.  The second bedroom has 3 Single Beds, 2 of which can be joined to make a second King Bed.
Additional Bedding: A portacot for a baby can be accommodated in addition to the 5-guest standard occupancy.

 The 5 Bedroom Deluxe Villa
The air-conditioned 5 Bedroom Deluxe Villa is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and offers a private courtyard with indoor-outdoor flow from the dining room, lounge and master bedroom.  Enclosed in the courtyard is a private swimming pool with loungers, a thatched pergola providing shade and a BBQ for private use. Outdoor furniture completes the setting. With a full-size kitchen, ample dining space for 12, multiple lounges and a TV room, there is plenty of space for everyone to relax.
The semi-detached Annex has a separate entry and provides an additional kitchen, dining and lounge which open out to another private deck and garden.

The Main Villa:
4 Bedrooms, 2 have ensuite bathrooms and there is also a main bathroom servicing the other 2 bedrooms.
3 bedrooms have King Beds which can be split into Single beds, The fourth bedroom has a Queen Bed. 
Portacots may be added in addition to the 8 person standard occupancy
The semi-detached 1-Bedroom Annex:
The Annex includes a a Queen Bed in a separate bedroom and a set of bunks in the lounge.
Additional Bedding: A portacot for a baby can be accommodated in addition to the 4-guest standard occupancy.


Getting to and from Lagoon Breeze Villas.
Arriving guests are met at the airport by Cook Islands Tours staff and transferred to the resort by resort vehicle. This provides a pleasant arrival experience. Guests are escorted to their villas by the transfer vehicle driver.  This is a particularly welcome service for those guests arriving on late night/early morning flights. Departure airport transfers are also included. Transfer time to and from the airport is only 10/15 minutes.

The round island buses stop on demand right outside the gate.

Families & Kids
Children of all ages are welcome at Lagoon Breeze Villas. There is a separate wading pool for kids, a separate kids’ playground, a trampoline and plenty of space for children to run and play.
Babysitting can be easily arranged. 
Porta-cots may be hired direct from reception at an additional charge which is payable to direct to the resort.
 Kids aged under 3 years stay free.
Porta-Cots for infants are available an additional charge which is payable to direct to the resort.  Children aged 3 to 12 years sharing a villa with parents (subject to individual villa maximum occupancy policies) are charged at a reduced rate and we will include child charges in our package arrangements.

Check-in/Check Out
Hotel standard check-in/check-out times:
Check-In Time: 12:00noon
Check-Out Time: 10:00am
Early Check-in and Late Check-out
Early Check-In between 6:00am and 12 Noon may be pre-booked and, if available, costs 50% of booked nightly rate. A check-in earlier than 6:00am is available at the cost of an extra room night.
Late check-outs up to 6:00pm, if available, may only be arranged 24 hours prior to guest departure. Late Check-out Fees are payable direct to the property.
Lagoon Breeze do recommend that guests departing late pay for another night as this is much more comfortable for guests.
The Lagoon Breeze Breakfast Café has a bathroom with shower, which departing guests are welcome to use to freshen up before their flight.

Early Arriving Flights in Rarotonga
The Resort recommends that all guests arriving prior to 6:00am should book and pay for their room from the night before to guarantee access to their room at the time they arrive. Not doing this could result in a wait of around 12 hours to gain entry to your accommodation.
