OUR Thoughts on Crystal Blue Lagoon Luxury Villas, Muri Lagoon, Rarotonga
Crystal Blue Lagoon Villas are self-contained villas right on a magnificent beachfront location on Muri Beach. The complex is independently rated as 5-Star and we find it right up to expectation at that rating. The location is almost in the centre of Muri Beach with exceptional views of the lagoon, the lagoon motus and the ocean. It is a really easy walk up and down the beach (or the road if you’re not a sand-between-the-toes sort of person) to all the restaurants, resorts, shops, cafés, the Night Market and all the attractions of Muri. The site of Crystal Blue Lagoon Villas is the site of one of the first holiday-stay properties ever built on Muri Beach – it really is a beauty.
You can’t really fault anything about this place. The infinity pool is placed central to all the villas and the exclusive pool decking is well equipped with sun-loungers and the like. The pool is beside the block of 2 Beachfront Villas and in front of the block containing the 2 Lagoon View Villas, indeed the Lagoon View Villas face over the pool to the lagoon and ocean. All Villas are sophisticated, modern and bright and capture the cooling sea breezes which wash this side of Rarotonga. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and have a ceiling fan.
Guests enjoy the many thoughtful, additional facilities provided, such as bathrobes, a hairdryer in every bathroom, a TV in every bedroom (as well as a large TV in the living room) and a large selection of DVD movies in each Villa. Every Villa has a patio complete with Weber BBQ, an outdoor dining set and plenty of lounging furniture too.
The area occupied by Crystal Blue Lagoon is a private sanctuary which is gated on the land side ensuring a tranquil stay. It’s a great choice for a discerning couple, a couple of friends each seeking privacy, 2 couples travelling together or a family with older children. With only 4 units, this place is in high demand.
The entire property takes 18 guests maximum in 4 x 2 Bedroom Units and the whole resort may be booked for a single party – an ideal spot for a perfect wedding. The resort requires a minimum 5 (consecutive) nights stay for a whole of resort buy-out.

Minimum Stay Policy
Crystal Blue Lagoon Luxury Villas have a minimum 2 nights stay policy, but do yourself a favour and stay longer - 2 nights is not nearly enough time at this remarkable property.
Your Accommodation Options
On offer are four fresh, spacious up-market self-contained Villas in two, 2 storey blocks, each block comprising 2 Villas. Each Villa has the living space on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms on the level above. The 2 Beachfront Villas are approximately $250 per night more expensive than the Lagoon View Villas and for this extra charge guests enjoy a bigger area as well as an absolute beach frontage position. The Beachfront Villas are only steps away from the beach while the occupants of the Lagoon View Villas enjoy an outlook over the horizon swimming pool with the lagoon beyond framed by the Beachfront Villa block to the right.
Every Villas has the following amenities:

· Views out to the lagoon from throughout the villa

2 Bedroom Luxury Lagoon View Villas:
130m2 of space. Master Bedroom overlooks the infinity pool and the lagoon from its own private balcony. The large outdoor patio features a nice big Day Bed along with the outdoor dining suite. Lounge has a 55" screen satellite TV and a large selection of movies and home theatre sound system in the open-plan living area.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 Adults
Existing Bedding: 1 Super King Bed in the master bedroom and a King Bed in the second bedroom which can be split into 2 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding is accommodated.
2 Bedroom Luxury Beachfront Villas:
Space, space and more space – a total of 175m2. There are panoramic views out over the lagoon from the Master Bedroom and virtually all of the Living Area. In these beautiful big Villas, the Master Bedroom’s bathroom features a rain-head shower as well as a free-standing luxury bath and big, double vanity, sun-loungers and glass balustrading overlook the lagoon. The main television is a flat-screen 60” satellite TV.
Maximum Occupancy: 5 Adults
Existing Bedding: 1 Californian King (Super-Super King) in the Master Bedroom and a Super King Bed in the second bedroom which can be split into 2 Single Beds.
Additional Bedding: A single Rollaway Bed may be added for a 5th adult.
Getting To and From Crystal Blue Lagoon Luxury Villas Rarotonga
Guests at Crystal Blue have a choice of 2 arrival transfer options. The VIP private vehicle arrival transfer is a great way to start a holiday in Rarotonga and in our opinion, is well worth the relatively small additional cost.
A VIP transfer includes the following services once guests clear customs and Immigration formalities at Rarotonga Airport
● A chilled bottle of water
● A fresh flower Ei (garland)
● A bottle of bubbles
● A transfer to Crystal Blue Lagoon in a private exclusive vehicle
● A brief orientation of your Villa on arrival.
The second option is a seat-in-vehicle (bus) transfer, which costs a little less than the VIP transfer
Crystal Blue Lagoon Villas are centrally located on the Muri Lagoon, well within walking distance of shops, restaurants, watersports and the Muri market. The circle Island buses stop on demand for easy access to Avarua Town, the town market and all the many and varied attractions of Rarotonga. Avarua is only 15 minutes away by bus on the direct route.
Car and scooter rentals can be arranged prior to arrival by Our Specialists or once you have settled into your villa by the villa staff. (Subject to availability at the time).
Kids’ Policy
Children aged 12 years and over are welcome at Crystal Blue Lagoon Villas.
The resort does not cater for children aged under 12 years.

Check out time is 10:00am
Early check-in from 6:00am may be arranged at a charge of 50% of villa's nightly tariff. This facility may be requested in advance and will be confirmed or declined 2 days prior to guests scheduled arrival date.
To guarantee immediate access to your villa prior to 6:00am accommodation will be booked and paid for a full extra night from the night prior to arrival.
Late check-out until 6:00pm may be arranged at a charge of 50% of the tariff of the villa occupied. This facility will only be confirmed or declined 2 days prior to guests scheduled departure.
Check-out after 6:00pm is subject to payment of a full additional night.
