We had a great time in Niue. The Scenic Matavai Resort was good spectacular views - we saw whales a few times. Room was spacious and well appointed. Shower and bed both good. Self service laundry & drying rack on deck both very handy.

Definitely need a rental car otherwise no way to get around island. We went on the Niue Orientation Tour on the first day which was well worth while. We did most of the walks and saw a lot of caves and chasms. Stunning colours in the water & it was very clear. Very interesting place to visit - great for fishermen & divers but not so good for families with young children.
