SEPTEMBER 2010

Hi Lesley

Well we are back from a long awaited holiday - totally relaxed and tanned. What a magical time we had - from the time we arrived in Fiji we enjoyed the 'Fijian' experience. The coach drivers and the staff at our chosen resort on Mana Island were extremely friendly and helpful. The boat trip from Denarau Marina to Mana Island was great as we stopped at several different islands to drop off and pick up other holiday makers and this gave us a small insight into what other resorts are like. Mana Island was fantastic - offering us the relaxing time we truly needed. The grounds are tropical and extremely well taken care of. We had a bure which had air conditioning and a cute stone outside shower. The bure's were serviced daily. Mana Island, with it's two great beaches offered great snorkelling, water sports equipment (my partner was delighted to find they had a windsurfer). For anyone wanting total relaxation this venue is great however should you feel more adventurous there is also plenty to do.

The resort has two restaurants with a different 'themed' buffet dinner each night or for the romantic - there is a beachside a la carte restaurant. Both venues offer a great variety of dishes. I would highly recommend the meal packages. We chose breakfast and dinner - we ate around 9.30am and had taken snacks for the afternoon then had dinner in the evening.

Entertainment was offered each evening from Polynesian dancing/shows to 'Miss World' pageant. If you haven't seen a huge Fijian guy in a dress then you are in for a surprise and a great laugh. There is a live band which plays great dance music later in the evening.

Kids are well catered for. I overheard an argument a child was having with his parents as he did not want to go to the beach with them - he wanted to go to the Kids Club every day. The Fijian people love the children and spend a lot of time entertaining them.

We recommend this resort highly - good middle of the road costs at a clean well kept resort. We are now encouraging our families to go to Fiji and especially Mana Island.

Thanks for all your help with our holiday Lesley - it was fantastic.

Regards
Anna Phillip
