OCTOBER 2014

Hi Carissa,

Our holiday went very well. This was the first time we have gone with a travel agent rather than booking stuff ourselves so it's nice to not have to worry about transport and getting to the ferry/airport on time!

The Intercontinental Tahiti was wonderful - the pools are amazing and all our friends were jealous of the pictures we sent during the stay. We had our evening meals there and the service/food was also top notch. They are undergoing renovations currently so there was some minor inconveniences - when we checked out the service lift was not working so we had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs. We didn't do any activities, but did ask a couple of questions to the concierge and they were always very helpful in suggestions.

On the day of our flights out of Tahiti we were slightly stuck at the airport as we arrived there at 8:30am and it seemed nothing was open in town (which was what we were planning to do). We went back to the Intercontinental and they were very nice to let us store our luggage there for free and for us to sit by the pool until our taxi arrived for the flight home.

Intercontinental Moorea was amazing, we are really glad we decided to spend a majority of the nights here. The lagoon there is really impressive and very calm so it was really good for novice snorkelers. I spent a couple of hours there getting used to snorkeling before we did out in the ocean. We organised all of our activities on the island at the resort so it was really simple.

We did the Moorea ATV tour and the Jetski Tour to the Motu. Both was really great and we had a lot of fun.

The resort itself is quite far from shops or restaurants but most restaurants did offer pick ups which meant we only spent one night eating at the resort.

Overall the trip was just the break we needed from the cold miserable weather we were having here and we're already looking at planning another trip there in the future to see the islands we didn't have time to go to.

Thanks Carissa for the organising!

Really appreciate it!

Peggy
