Hello Liz

Treasure was delightful. Was a teeny bit apprehensive once we landed on the Island... bit run down at the welcome area but they do have a partly finished small building which we presumed will be for welcoming. The welcome itself was terrific, with a nice cold mocktail on arrival. Max, the Activities/Welcome Manager is very professional.

The new pool area is lovely (full of kids so we left that alone), good dining room and bar areas. Most of the staff were amazing and very friendly, just a few odd ones that let the side down so to speak, particularly in the bar/restaurant service department. Rosie's store on the Island was great selling everything from jandals, suntan cream, bottled water, caps, small treasures to take home, and a good selections of sulu's, t-shirts and some nice ladies casual dresses.

Food - amazing... can't fault a thing. Had great Kokoda (raw fish) followed by the most delicious coconut crusted prawns and served with pumpkin encased rice layer that was out of this world. Had that two nights in a row!

Bure's are about 20 metres back from the beach, but all have a view of the sea. They have modernised the rooms, king beds (2 singles together so they were very big and very comfortable) nice cushions etc. But the bathroom squashy, and a bit oldy-worldy. Still we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would go back there. The beach, sand, weather and swimming is to die for. Fish are found quite shallow in the water so excellent for snorkelling.

Activities Menu - terrific. Something available for everyone most days; cooking demonstrations, nightly entertainment which was marvellous, kids programmes - all organised and run very efficiently.

Observation - a bit out of date (it was commissioned in 1972 and I was last there about 1978!) some of the grounds a bit shabby, but after a day we fitted right in with the Island lifestyle.

We spoke to one honeymoon couple who had been 4 nights at Malolo Island Resort who said they loved it, very flash by all accounts and were a bit disappointed with Treasure. So there you go.

Talk to you soon... am already planning another Fiji trip for next year so will be in touch.
