JULY 2018
Hi Ada,
Saletoga Sands Resort – Lovely rooms, very clean resort. Staff not so friendly as Fijian resorts. Definitely not forward in providing tourist information. Snorkelling was average. The water sports gear wasn’t very good either, they need more and to cater for children. More activities needed for families. They put on a fantastic evening show and the food was amazing! Breakfasts were good.
Amoa Resort – Lovely rooms and resort. They do a lovely little tour up the side street which was well worth doing. AMAZING staff! Super friendly, so personal, nothing was too much trouble for any of them, they even spotted me cleaning out our rental car and insisted they do it for me. The staff went above and beyond during our stay! We tipped a lot! Food was great. The only negative would be that the beach is across the road so we only went once and it isn’t the best of beaches. Very clean and well cared for. We would definitley go back because of the staff and food but only for a night or two as we went to Samoa for the beaches so next time we will stay at Le Lagoto and maybe a night in a fale for the expierence.
Savaii island is definitely the better of the two islands. The people are much more friendly and the island is more beautiful. Suggest taking lots of snacks & lunch options for the kids when travelling to Samoa as daytime eating could be a little challenging and expensive should you not have a rental car.
Support the turtle swimming in the pool at Savaii, you would have pay to go out into the sea to try and spot them.
Definitely need a rental car for Samoa!
Regards,
Helen
