Hi Lesley,

Breakas Beach Resort is very well set up with lovely clean, private accommodation. The infinity pool overlooking the sea was great. Was good to have free use of snorkelling equipment and kayaks for going in the sea. The resort itself was quite expensive food wise and an unexpected ‘entertainment fee’ of $26 made a couple of meals with drinks nearly $200.

Out exploring the island we listened to other holidaymakers recommendations of where to eat and enjoyed fresh fish and the most amazing organic steak that you got to cook yourself on a lava stone.

Only downside was the restaurants saying water was filtered but still getting an upset stomach just from a few ice cubes.

Also one place, the ‘Anchor Inn’ had beer on tap and pretty sure this had been watered down as had avoided non-bottled water all day and plus neither of us felt even the tiniest bit tipsy.

We will go back to Vanuatu in couple of years but try one of the other islands – probably Tanna.

You chose the resort for us, so thank you for your good taste. And great not having any kids there!
