NOVEMBER 2011

Hi Liz

We had an awesome holiday, thanks.

We thought the Outrigger was a wonderful resort, very clean, tidy etc. The Staff were maintaining the grounds everyday so the resort itself always looked in pristine condition. There seems to have been some recent works to upgrade the hotel (cosmetically) our room was very well maintained. There were a few minor things around the hotel that if you were really picky you could say needed some attention but on the whole it was excellent.

The pool area was great, the variety of restaurants was very good and more importantly the quality of the food was excellent, I can honestly say that in the whole stay that we (that is Rachel) had only one meal that she was not overly happy with – everything else was great. The kids really enjoyed the food and especially the buffet breakfast. The staff were also very accommodating of Rachel being a vegetarian and though there was not a very wide selection vegetarian food on the menus, they were always happy to make the dishes with no meat ie. chicken chow mien to a vegetable chow mien etc.

The beach (as you said) is not really up to much because of the coral and if a golden sandy beach is a must then not a resort to go to – saying this on the occasions we went kayaking and snorkelling with the kids we really enjoyed it.

The staff were in large very good.

The spa was excellent and treatments awesome – the deal we got 2 for 1 – was fantastic value for money.

We didn’t use the kids club, but Abby and Josh really enjoyed things such as horse riding, tie dying t-shirts, necklace making with one on the on resort jewellery merchants, but most of all the pool.

The gym was more than adequate and Rachel and I used this quite a bit.

Over all impression with everything considered  would be 7.5/10 – if the beach was better it would push this up to 8.5/10.

From your perspective – we had no issues with anything, transfers, booking in etc. On a personal note I found you really good to deal with and would have no hesitation using yourself and Our Pacific again in the future or for that matter recommending you to our friends. On that note, because we really enjoyed the holiday we are thinking that we might like to revisit next year, probably around a similar time. Maybe you could look into this for us and give me an idea of cost. We would like to try a different resort so we have a comparison and I would like you to suggest a few options for this – only stipulation would be it would need to be in the same category class as the Outrigger or better – we would look to stay at this resort for 5-6 nights and then transfer to an island resort for a further 5-6 nights, somewhere like Castaway Island, I believe this is where the Outrigger sister resort is situated.

Thanks once again and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Regards
Duncan
