August 2022 - Paradise Cove Resort, Fiji

Bula Liz,

We had a fabulous 5 nights at Paradise Cove Resort.  The Beachfront Bure was great - very spacious & an amazing outdoor shower.  The beach was all tide swimming & was lovely - although very busy with boat traffic so you have to be careful! Reef shoes a good idea too.

The food was very good and we also went to the new Japanese Restaurant which was an amazing experience - 17 courses in all!  This is an extra cost of $125pp on top of the meal plan.  The staff were lovely and friendly and were very happy to have tourists back again.  The resort had opened the adults only pool area to everyone - this didn’t bother us as we prefer to swim at the beach.

The only complaint would be the helicopter transfer - the reason we booked this was to spend as much time on the island as possible.  The night before we left we were notified at 8pm that we would be on the 8am helicopter the next morning - our flight was not until 2pm.  We were not happy as you can imagine especially as we heard the helicopter was going back to Paradise Cove to pick up more passengers after us.  Unfortunately the Fiji government has grounded the seaplanes until September so until then I would probably suggest getting the boat transfer back - at least you get to see some of the other Islands instead of spending 5 hours at Nadi airport!!!  Luckily we had access to the Fiji Airways lounge.

All in all a fabulous 5 night get away - the weather was beautiful, we had a few windy days but that didn’t bother us.  The mosquitos were brutal unfortunately so would recommend insect spray as soon as you arrive as you can’t see or hear them!!  A highlight would be snorkelling with the manta rays - fantastic!

Thanks for organising the holiday for us Liz.  Hope we can get back there next year.

Kind Regards
Jennifer & Michael Newton
