01 July 2026
Blue Lagoon Cruises wishes to inform our valued partners that, following a decrease in Fiji’s fuel prices effective 1 July 2026, the mandatory fuel surcharge, originally introduced in April 2026, has been reduced. This change in Fiji’s fuel prices is the first decrease since the global oil crisis began. The decrease in fuel prices is therefore being immediately passed onto guests through a reduction in the current mandatory fuel surcharge.
The price of diesel in Fiji as of the 1st of July 2026 remains some nearly 60% higher than before the global oil crisis. The continuation of high fuel prices into July 2026 cannot be absorbed within our current rates and has also resulted in a sharp cost increase across most supplier items including the likes of food & beverage, international freight and so forth.
What are we charging & how will this be paid?
The mandatory fuel surcharge applicable will now be FJ$25.00 per cabin per night (not per person) and will be charged directly to the guests’ cabins to be paid onboard at the conclusion of their cruise (along with any other incidentals or items enjoyed during their cruise). We’d like to thank our guests for their understanding of our need to recover a small percentage of the increase in operating costs.
Terms & Conditions are noted as follows:
“While we try our utmost not to increase our prices, this is sometimes outside our control. On that basis, we reserve the right to amend our prices although amendments should occur only in the instance of increases in our costs to deliver the cruise such as but not limited to, fuel costs, government taxes and charges, exchange rate fluctuations, and ground costs beyond the control of Blue Lagoon Cruises and which are deemed material to operations.”
