SEPTEMBER 2018

Hi Emily,

Thanks for the travel arrangements which all worked out well.

The holiday worked out very well. We had 7 days at Mana Island resort and particularly liked the food costs all being part of the package price. We wondered what the meals would be like having paid up front, and with no alternative restaurants on the island, but we didn't have to worry. The catering was very good, especially the South Beach Restaurant (adults only) which served food every bit as good as what you expect in many restaurants in Australasia. We were pleased with both the Mana Island Resort and caterin and the Reception staff were particularly welcoming.

One improvement I thought the Mana Island Resort could introduce is providing an Activites Desk near the Pool/Breakfast area. I think many folk discuss what they are going to do over breakfast, when they see the weather and wind etc and whilst the Resort  provides a blackboard notice of activities near the pool, that is not the same as being able to talk to someone and make a booking there and then.  The blackboard may say 'Snorkeling Trip 2.00pm" for example. But there is no one to talk to about how long the trip is, is this afternoon trip booked up, or even where to go to book. There is a Concierge which, I suppose, is supposed to answer these questions but Concierge to me are more about the accommodation and room service, reconfirmations etc not somewhere to go to talk about specific activities. Otherwise you have to find the place where the activity is based - usually somewhere along South Beach when breakfast/pool area is on North Beach.

One thing that was nice is proper, Kiwi type beach sandy beaches not sharp coral beaches which you often encounter in the Pacfic Islands.

Would we go again? Yes, quite possibly.

Regards,
Geoff
