LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
The legal age to wed in the Cook Islands is 20years.
An application for a Marriage License must be made in person to the nearest Registrar of Marriages Office in Rarotonga at least 3 working days prior to the Marriage. The office is open Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm.
Please note, weddings may not be performed on Sundays or public holidays.
The Wedding Couple will need to provide the following:
- Original Birth Certificates
- Valid Passports
- Divorce Papers (if applicable)
- Death Certificate (if previous spouse is deceased)
