OUR thoughts on Ohana Waikiki East by Outrigger
AAA Rated 2 Diamond, Ohana Waikiki East by Outrigger offers high value for location and services.  Holidaymakers looking for a great location handy to the beach in the centre of Waikiki and who are happy with a clean and good value, albeit a little dated facility, should consider Ohana Waikiki East by Outrigger.  For the price, the location is unbeatable.  The hotel is located on the corner of Kaiulani and Kuhio Avenues. Directly across Kuhio Avenue there is a Waikiki Trolley stop (guests at Ohana Waikiki East by Outrigger receive unlimited travel on the Pink (Shopping) Line – (just use your room key tag), as well as a bakery, KFC, Burger King and Subway.  On Kuhio you are surrounded by super-value eating places (We found a US$5 cooked breakfast nearby) and plenty of action for night-clubbers. There is a grocery store close by and a grocery delivery service is available.  On Kaiulani Avenue, you only have to walk past the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani and you are on Kalakaua Avenue right opposite the Moana Surfrider Hotel.  On the way past the Princess Kaiulani you can cross the road to historic Kings Village with its shops and restaurants.  Once you are on Kalakaua Avenue you are only 1 hotel building away from famous Waikiki Beach.

Ohana Waikiki East by Outrigger is 19 floors high and has 441 rooms, 3 restaurants, swimming pool and a full range of services and in-room facilities that you would expect to find in a much more expensive hotel.  Take the escalator up from street level to the very busy lobby and you are immediately in holiday mode. This hotel has everything you need for a great holiday.  Apart from the restaurants and lounge bars, (incidentally, the Round Table Pizza and Sports Bar features no less than 17 cable TV sets), the hotel provides a coin-operated laundrette for guests to use and wifi is available throughout the property including the rooms, lobby and poolside.  One additional service that comes in very handy for late night departures back to Auckland is the (subject to availability) hospitality room which late-departing guests can use to freshen up before leaving for the airport.

Daily Resort Charge
Ohana Waikiki East have a Daily Resort Charge includes amenities for you to enjoy during your stay and is compulsory, is automatically added to your room account and payable direct to the resort.

Room Categories (in ascending order of tariff)

 Waikiki View Rooms:
The majority accommodation type at Ohana Waikiki East by Outrigger.  Pool View Rooms and Waikiki View Rooms are found on floors 2 to 19 and have views of the nearby resort towers.  However, rooms on floors 15 to 19 provide glimpses of Diamond Head, the interior mountain or Waikiki Beach from the small walk-out balcony. City View Rooms are 33m² in size. Bathroom with combo bath/shower.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 1 Queen Bed or 2 Queen Beds
Additional Bedding: 1 Rollaway Bed may be added to rooms with 1 King Bed or 1 Queen Bed. A cot for a baby aged under 3 years may be added but this does  not increase the maximum occupancy allowed.

 Studio Kitchenette Rooms:
Studio Kitchenette Rooms are compact at 25m².  The amount of space is adequate for people not wishing to spend a great deal of time in the room, having said that, they are fine for singles and couples. Rooms are located on the corners of the building on floors 2 to 19 and officially have no view, although some can have a little peep here and there. 
Maximum Occupancy: 2 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King or 1 Queen Bed
Additional Bedding:  No additional bedding accommodated.

 One Bedroom Kitchenette Units:
Ideal for families or couples looking for a little extra space, One Bedroom Kitchenette Units are 35m² and are mostly located on the corner of the building on floors 2 to 17.  There is a Park View or Ocean View depending on the height of the room in the building. 
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed in the bedroom & 1 Double Sofa Bed in the lounge.
Additional Bedding: 1 Rollaway Bed can be added. A cot for a baby aged under 3 years may be added but this does  not increase the maximum occupancy allowed.

Getting to and from Ohana Waikiki East by Outrigger
We will provide a coach or private car arrival/departure transfers between Honolulu International Airport and Ohana Waikiki East in package arrangements as required/agreed.

Kids' Policy
Children 17 years of age and under stay free if accommodated in existing bedding, sharing with at least 1 paying adult and subject to individual room category maximum occupancy policies.

Cots for infants under 3 years of age are provided free of charge.

Check-in/Check Out
The hotel advise that they will do all possible to accommodate guests arriving prior to 3:00pm but can only guarantee accommodation will be available immediately on arrival if accommodation has been booked and paid from the night prior to arrival.
Check In Time: 3:00pm
Check Out Time: 12.00 noon
A late check-out to 6:00pm may be available at a charge of 50% of the room rate occupied. This facility can only be arranged once guests check-in and is payable direct to the hotel.
