Our thoughts on Le Meridien Tahiti
With only 149 rooms including 8 suites and 12 overwater bungalows, Le Meridien Tahiti, which has been extensively renovated throughout in 2010, is a lovely intimate-style of hotel. Being located on the coast only 30 minutes from Papeete’s city centre and 15 minutes away from Faa’a International Airport it is a pleasant cross between a city hotel and a beach resort. It is the ideal spot for a stay in transit for a few days between arrival/departure Tahiti and the outer islands.
We think Le Meridien Tahiti has a great atmosphere which is probably due to the way the hotel buildings cluster around the fantastic, big sand-floor swimming pool which is the centre-piece of the property. The swimming pool is almost like a natural opening of the sea and the beach into the resort grounds, as the way it has been designed and its sand floor makes it flow seamlessly to and from the lagoon beach.
There’s always something happening around this area including outdoor massage etc. Also incorporated into this area you will enjoy L’Atelier a unique and vibrant art scene where guests can participate in hands-on art workshops, creative exhibitions and art lectures. Optional cooking lessons and wine appreciation courses are also features at Le Meridien Tahiti.
We like their optional meal plans. Le Meridien Tahiti has very family friendly policies too. Children under 4 years eat free and children 4 to 15 years pay half price for meals. Kids Policy
Children 3 to 11 years of age require a second room at this resort at a discount of 50% off contract rates.
Children under 3 years of age eat free. Children 3 to 11 years of age receive a 50% discount on meals when dining with at least 1 paying adult.

The hotel will make every effort to ensure your rooms are available at your time of check-in; however, the Hotel standard times and rates are as follows:

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing.
If cancellations are effected within 7 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to one night’s accommodation will be charged.
If cancellations are effected within 3 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to two night’s accommodation will be charged.
No Shows will be charged a cancellation fee of up to three night’s accommodation
