Our thoughts on InterContinental Tahiti Resort
Flying in you will arrive at Faa'a International Airport and the InterContinental Tahiti Resort is only 2 minutes away from the airport and 15 minutes from Papeete city centre. Flights tend to arrive and depart Tahiti late at night, so a full resort hotel so close to the hotel is a good choice especially if you are only spending a day or two stop-over en route to or from Tahiti's other wonderful islands.
The hotel provides a full range of resort activities and facilities and a wide variety of room types. Feed and watch the marine life in the Lagoonarium, organise Scuba diving, play tennis, enjoy the Polynesian dance shows and the choice of restaurants, take in a Spa session, browse the boutiques, work out in the 24 hour fitness centre, take the shuttle into Papeete, or simply relax around the pool and sip a cocktail at the swim-up bar.
We have a couple of travel hints for first-time visitors to Tahiti. To help you enjoy InterContinental Tahiti Resort, we recommend that you spend a few extra dollars and take a Panoramic Room. From the Panoramic rooms you wake up on your first morning, draw back the curtains and the view across to Moorea is breathtakingly beautiful. Next, take a "Jet-lag" massage at the Spa and you are set up for a great holiday. On your first evening be at the resort for an evening cocktail while you marvel at the marvellous sunset over Moorea.
Your Room Options
There are 257 accommodation units on offer. They range from Standard Rooms in typical hotel blocks to over-water bungalows and suites.
The resort has a unique layout. Out front of the central block with its restaurants etc there is an enclosed beach and pool that joins up with 2 little islands (motus) just metres off the beach and on this area there are 16 bungalows and 1 large villa, all of which are built out over the water off the lagoon side of the islands. This motu area also provides private beaches and lawns and forms one side fo the lovely sheltered lagoon pool. The three storey hotel blocks are scattered throughout the grounds, some offer garden views and others lagoon views. On the furthest point of the Resort, which is known as the Lotus area, there are 14 bungalows built above the lagoon and totally surrounded by the lagoon. These Overwater Bungalows are accessed by boardwalks out over the lagoon.

Overwater Motu Bungalow
Built over the lagoon on the 2 small islands (motus) just out from the restaurants, lounge and reception, these spacious rooms provide a veranda deck outside the room then steps down to a small landing close to the water. Each bungalow has a good-sized bath tub.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults or 2 Adults & 1 Child

Additional Bedding: 1 Single Couch
Overwater Lagoon Bungalow
Handy to the Lotus Restaurants, pool and swim-up bar. Lagoon Bungalows feature a sun deck and a lower terrace to provide easy access to the lagoon for swimming. They have a Jacuzzi-style bath tub.

Overwater Motu Villa

Getting to and from the InterContinental Tahiti Resort
We will provide you with airport transfers by road.
During daylight hours the Resort has a shuttle bus service to and from Papeete City.
Kids Policy
Children 14 years of age and under stay free if accommodated in existing bedding, sharing with at least 1 paying adult. If an extra bed is requested, an extra bed charge applies.
Children 14 years of age and under eat and drink free from the Kids Menu when dining with at least 1 paying adult.
Check-in/Check Out
The hotel will make every effort to ensure your rooms are available at your time of check-in; however, the Hotel standard times and rates are as follows:

Check Out Time: 11.00am
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing.
If cancellations are effected within 3 days of scheduled arrival, a cancellation fee equal to one night’s accommodation will be charged.
