Our Thoughts on Anaiki Motel
Anaiki Motel is a simple one‑level, one-building motel complex set in a superb location just back from the cliff edge, offering wide‑ranging ocean views. Wander across the lawn to the clifftop lookout and you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking panorama over the Pacific Ocean, particularly spectacular during whale season from June through October. Perfect for guests seeking an affordable, peaceful and quiet stay, Anaiki Motel is also an excellent base for those keen to explore Niue’s outstanding natural attractions. The coastline surrounding the property is dotted with sea tracks, including one located virtually on the grounds that leads directly down to the famous Avaiki Caves. From here, you have direct access to the calm, crystal‑clear waters of Avaiki for a refreshing swim. Nearby, Palaha Cave offers further exploration with its impressive formations, or you can stroll along the road to the sea track down to Hio Beach for more swimming and snorkelling. Just a couple of kilometres up the coastal road lie Matapa Chasm and the dramatic Talava Arches. While it’s a bit of a hike into Alofi, it’s only a 10‑minute drive by rental car, making Anaiki Motel an affordable and peaceful choice that’s still conveniently located for exploring the island.
Your Accommodation Options
Anaiki Motel consists of a single, one‑level accommodation block comprising one Studio Unit and four One Bedroom Units. The One Bedroom Units each feature an open‑plan lounge area, a separate bedroom, and a furnished front deck. Three of the One Bedroom Units offer a queen bed in the bedroom and either a sofa bed or one single bed in the lounge area, accommodating up to three guests. The fourth One Bedroom Unit is configured as a Family Unit, with a queen bed in the bedroom and two single beds in the lounge area, accommodating up to four guests. The Studio Unit does not have a separate lounge area and features one queen bed only, suitable for a maximum of two guests. All units are simply and comfortably furnished, with wooden plank‑patterned linoleum flooring, light‑coloured walls, and a generous front deck with outdoor furniture. Each unit is fully self‑contained, with weekly cleaning and linen changes included, or available on request. Facilities include full insect screening, a kitchen with dining area, fridge, microwave, cooktop, mini-stove, pedestal fans, and telephone. Bathrooms are fitted with a shower, providing practical and comfortable accommodation for independent travellers.

Additional Bedding: No additional bedding is accommodated.
1 Bedroom Units:
A separate bedroom and separate lounge.
Maximum Occupancy: 3 guests (adults and children).
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed in the bedroom and either a Sofa Bed or a Single Bed in the lounge.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding is accommodated.
Family Units:
A separate bedroom and separate lounge.
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests (adults and children).
Existing Bedding: 1 Queen Bed in the bedroom and 2 x Single Beds in the lounge area.
Additional Bedding: No additional bedding is accommodated.
Getting To and From Anaiki Motel
We will price airport meet and greet and return airport transfers for all guests in our packages.
Kids’ Policy
Children of all ages are welcome at Anaiki Motel.
Children are charged at the same rate as adults occupying existing bedding in the units.
As in many parts of Niue, this property is located near the cliff-face and parents are advised that this could be dangerous for unsupervised young children. Anaiki Motel advise the following:
“Children under parents supervision and full responsibility. Please note, Anaiki Motel is located on cliff side with rough terrain, and not taking any responsibility for injuries and such”
