OUR thoughts on Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort
What a location; absolute Waikiki beachfront on fabulous Kalakaua Avenue with the venerable Moana Surfrider Hotel on one side and the landmark Royal Hawaiian on the other. The whole property has been completely refurbished during 2012 and while there wasn’t much wrong with it before the refurbishment, it is in really splendid shape now. You can’t get a much more central position on Waikiki Beach. The Kalakaua Avenue entrance to The International Market Place is right across the road. The Pink, Red and Green Line Waikiki Trolleys all stop right outside. An easy walk down 2 short blocks brings you to Kuhio Avenue which is the main access for most of TheBus routes.
The hotel is surrounded by all the shops, eating places and services of Kalakaua Avenue (there is a big ABC Shop directly over Kalakaua Avenue) but you hardly need to leave Outrigger Waikiki Beach for outside services as they have a very good range of services on site! The Resort has 3 excellent restaurants virtually on the beach – Duke’s, Chuck’s Steak House and Hula Grill Waikiki, all serving excellent well-priced food as well as The Hawaii Sandwich Shop with sandwiches, snacks and smoothies made to order and a very good coffee outlet. In the shopping arcade on the ground floor there is very good convenience store with a surprising range of goods (including chilled wine and snacks) and the famous Cheesecake Factory restaurant is just outside (be prepared to queue). There is a great atmosphere during the evening Happy Hours at the beachfront restaurants, during which time live entertainment is provided. Our favourite is “Dukes”, named after Duke Kahanamoku a legendary Hawaiian surfer – great buffet breakfasts and lunches and relaxed dining in the evenings too.
Finally, Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort has a really great Concierge Desk, which can be very useful assisting guests make the most of their stay in Waikiki and Oahu. For example, guests can make all outside restaurant reservations through the Concierge Desk. The concierge staff know managers at most restaurants and can assist guests to get the best seats in the house. Concierge services are free to guests.
Daily Resort Charge
Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort have a Daily Resort Charge includes amenities for you to enjoy during your stay and is compulsory, is automatically added to your room account and payable direct to the resort.
As the price and inclusions are subject to change, ask your Travel Advisor at time of booking for the most up to date cost and inclusions for the Resort Charge.
Minimum Stay Policy:
For stays including 26 December to 04 January a minimum 2 nights stay is required.
New Voyager 47 Club Rooms and Lounge
Voyager 47 Club rooms and suites are located on the top 3 floors (14th, 15th and 16th) of the hotel and are accessed by a private lift from the lobby. The room tariff for guests staying in Voyager 47 Club Rooms include exclusive entry to the Voyager 47 Club Lounge, a facility in a spacious ocean front location on the Upper Lobby level with views overlooking Waikiki Beach.

Room Categories
City View Rooms:
City View Rooms are located on all floors and most have lanais facing Kalakaua Avenue. Every room has a view of the city and the mountains beyond which is very pleasant especially at night when the lights come on in the suburban houses on the hill. City View Rooms are a good 33m2 in size and have most of the amenities of the more expensive rooms.

Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed and a Queen-size fold-out Sofa Bed or 2 Double Beds.
Additional Bedding: A cot for a baby aged up to 2 years can be provided (included in room maximum).
Partial Ocean View Rooms:
The same size as City View Rooms at 33m2 but located on each side of the building with a lanai facing either The Moana Surfrider or over The Royal Hawaiian and the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Centre. Those rooms closer to Kalakaua Avenue are higher up in the building. Those located closer to the beachfront are on lower floors. The lanais not only have a partial ocean view but a partial city view as well. Balconies on Partial Ocean View Rooms can be subject to noise from the air-conditioning units on the roof of the Royal Hawaiian Centre, but the noise is cut out from inside the rooms when the balcony door is closed.

Ocean View Rooms:
Ocean View Rooms are located in the centre of either side of the building and have really good views of the ocean from their lanais. Ocean View Rooms are located on all floors with the exception of the two floors closest to ground level. Ocean View Rooms are 33m2. Enjoy the sunrise from those on the east side while those rooms on the west side capture the spectacular sunsets.

Oceanfront Rooms:
Ranging from 29m2 to 39m2 in size (most are the smaller size) with an absolutely unobstructed view of Waikiki Beach and the ocean and what a view it is, colourful and interesting with something always happening on shore and at sea. Oceanfront Rooms are all located on the Waikiki Beach end of the building and on every floor.
Maximum Occupancy: 2 guests in rooms with 1 King Bed, 4 guests in rooms with 2 Double Beds
Existing Bedding: 2 Standard Double Beds or 1 King Bed.
Additional Bedding: A cot for a baby aged up to 2 years can be provided (included in room maximum).
Club Ocean View Rooms.
Club Ocean View Rooms, while being on the sides of the building, are very close to the front of the building only 1 or 2 rooms back from the ocean frontage. Each is 33m2 and located on every floor with exception of the lowest accommodation floor. Guests enjoy very good views of the beach and the ocean from the lanai of these rooms.

Club Ocean Front Rooms.
Similar location to Oceanfront Rooms but with the added bonus of a bathroom Spa Tub

Club Ocean Front Suites.
Located on the Waikiki Beach frontage of the building with a lanai on the beachfront as well as on the sunset side which faces over the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, these 52m2 suites have a separate bedroom and a separate lounge. Located on all floors the views are very special. Not only do guests enjoy a view down over the hotel pool to the beach but also along the length of the beach past The Royal Hawaiian. The sunset viewed from these rooms is nothing short of spectacular day and night.

Club Diamond Head Ocean Front Suites.
Located on the beachfront/Diamond Head corner of the resort on all floors, these spectacular suites are 64m2 in size and feature 2 baths as well as a separate bedroom and a separate lounge. Lanais on the Diamond Head side as well as on the beach frontage ensure special views all day and night.

Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed and a double fold-out Sofa Bed.
Additional Bedding: A cot for a baby aged up to 2 years can be provided (included in room maximum).
Getting to and from Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort
We will provide a coach or private car arrival/departure transfers between Honolulu International Airport and Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort in package arrangements as required/agreed.

Kids Stay Free
Children 17 years of age and under stay free if accommodated in existing bedding, sharing with at least 1 paying adult and subject to individual room category maximum occupancy policies.
Complimentary cots for infants under 2 years of age are provided.
Check-in/Check Out
The hotel advises that they will do all possible to accommodate guests arriving prior to 3:00pm but can only guarantee accommodation will be available immediately on arrival if accommodation has been booked and paid from the night prior to arrival.

A late check-out to 6:00pm may be available at a charge of 50% of the room rate occupied. This facility can only be arranged once guests check-in and is payable direct to the hotel.
